Better Solution for Auxillary Power Connection

The charger works as advertised and arrived promptly. When at trade shows that charge too much for electrical hookups, I use a battery booster device with an inverter to convert dc to ac so I can use the ac charger cord that came with my laptop. However, the inverter is inefficient, wasting power in the process. The Car Charger is more efficient by going from dc to dc adjusting the power to what my laptop can take. And, of course, I can use on long road trips.

Great value for money

Great power block for the Toshiba and very fast delivery! I decided upon this one for my Toshiba L775 partly because it had good reviews and also because it was slightly higher power rated than my original. I work from my truck with my computer (pipeline construction) and although i have an inverter, i wanted to take some of the pressure off the inverter and also have an alternative in case the inverter went down. It works just great out of the box and never gets more than marginally warm. A lot cooler than the original in fact. Does everything i need. What more can i ask?

Bought this for a 9 hour car trip (each way) with my Granddaughter so she could watch movies, play games, etc on my Toshiba Satellite. It worked fine. In fact, I forgot to bring my AC (wall outlet) charger and ran the PC off the still fully charged battery in my hotel for a few hours after the trip. Delivery was right on time as well. I had thought about using an inverter and the regular AC charger, but after reading about issue of heat and noise with the inverters, this seemed like the superior alternative, and it was.
