Visually attractive, well-designed cooling pad that is quiet in action but incredibly efficient - designed for gamers.

With summer temperatures set to rise dramatically at the time of writing this review, this seemed a very good time to request this AMNIE cooling pad, which was sent to me to review without cost.

The pad is powered via a USB to USB port - there are two ports at the rear of the pad along with dial controls for the strength of the air flow.
In use it is incredibly quiet - we've had one of these pads before but had to give it away as it was just too noisy and interfered with the enjoyment of music and videos. A 35 cm cloth - covered USB to USB cable is supplied - these cloth covered cables are very hardwearing and long-lasting, which is a nice touch.

Visually, the pad is really attractive - in use the 4 fans are lit by blue LED lights which look really cool. Two sturdy legs with non - slip pads fold open to prop the pad up and there are two fold-up arms at the front to prevent your laptop slipping off the front of the pad.

The laptop rests on a sturdy black mesh tray, which is very well-finished, the angular shaping of the pad should really appeal to gamers.
The throughput of cool air was really impressive, initially I tried the cool pad out with the laptop resting on my lap but the whoosh of cold air was almost too much at full power.
It is designed to be used on a desk or table top, it's secure and very efficient when used like this.

Decent but lacking for larger or warmer laptops

I believe that this cooling stand will work quite well for some and so I urge you to know what you are purchasing and read both specs and reviews to determine whether you fall into that category. That being said, I see both positives and negatives to this design and I'll give my impressions based on having tested several laptop coolers over the years. To begin with, I almost always use a cooling stand when doing any real work as I am running a high end graphics laptop that runs on the warmer side (with a high end graphics and two HDD's) and is housed in an aluminum case.

Pros:
The stand is relatively sturdy. It is a mixture of some type of metal and plastic. It is heavy enough not to feel cheap and light enough not to be off-putting. The fans are fairly large and for the most part cover each of the corners to the middle of the stand giving it a large area of coverage (for fan effectiveness, please continue reading below).

The stand comes with a standalone braided usb cable (which should help with wear and tear) which gives plenty of reach from the back of the stand where the USB inputs are to any USB input on your laptop. You will also find the fan controls on the back of the stand near the USB inputs. There is cord management on the bottom center of the stand which is convenient as the USB used to power the stand is not connected permanently on one side and could get lost otherwise.

There are two retractable kickstand-like feet on the bottom of the stand that are meant to keep the fans off whatever surface the stand is resting on.Read more ›

Excellent Size and I'm loving this Cooling Pad!

The Laptop Cooling Pad reminds me of a butterfly or an X in shape. It's very nice and has a great amount of support for me to use and view the screen. It's easy to adjust the pad and with the fans, which are quiet and keep the computer cool, they give a nice blue LED light to the design.

Features I love best about this Cooling Pad by AMNIE:

Size - Perfect for my 15 inch laptop and even my 17inch. I can use both on this perfectly!
Fans - Help keep the computer from becoming overheated, while I work all day and play on it daily! There are four fans in each corner of the x or butterfly shape of the cooling pad, in a color of blue LEDS.
Design - Awesome looking and very beneficial for my laptop. So I'm getting a nice look and what I really need a cool laptop that isn't getting overheated.
USB Hubs - Some USB Hubs on this allows for me to include many more USB Devices and not rob me of the one I'm using on my laptop. So I'm always able to connect another device as I normally could with my computer alone.

Finally, this is a really lovely product and I'm very pleased with the design and quietness of the fans. Plus, how effective it really is!

Amnie Four Fan Laptop Cooling Pad

Unique in shape, this laptop cooling pad has four, five inch fans accented with blue LED lights. Constructed with a combination of a plastic framework and a metal mesh that covers the top of the fans it is both lightweight and sturdy. Included is a twenty-four inch woven nylon covered USB 2.0 cable. The back of the unit has two USB 2.0 ports – plug the cable into one port and the other into the laptop. The extra port replaces the one used by the cooling pad.

User friendly, this device has well-thought out features like fold-out supports at the front lower edge to ensure the laptop does not slip off the bottom of the pad. This is a particularly useful if it is being used with the back fold-out legs extended. There are two different heights for the back fold-out legs – one inch or two and a quarter inches, or it can be used flat so the user can select whichever angle works best for them.

The controls consist of two rotary (wheel) switches with each controlling two of the fans so the user can select whether to use only the top two or the bottom two or all four at once. The laptop cooling pad operates very quietly so there is no annoying noise issue. Solidly made the device is a real asset when extended use or age causes laptop heat build-up. Review sample received.
