This laptop table is functional and works fine for using a laptop while reclining or laying down. It requires that you place velcro pads on your laptop in order to keep it securely in place on the table. I don't care to have those pads on my laptops when I am not using the table. I found that it did not work for my netbook because I did not apply the velcro pads. I think it would be better if the velcro strips were replaced with a non-skid type of material that didn't require putting any pads on the computer.

It does not fold for storage and is not very portable, unless you are willing to disassemble it every time you want to store or transport it. It took me some time to figure out the assembly instructions, but mastered it after a couple of times. I have a very small apartment and found it took up too much space to leave assembled.

I am returning the table because of the above reasons. But someone else may find that it meets their needs.

I love this table! I use it to watch Netflix 'Watch Instantly' streaming movies and Hulu TV shows on my laptop while lying down in bed. Also, when I web surf in bed, I don't have to sit up since the velcro allows the keyboard to be angled toward me so it is almost vertical. The use of Velcro is simple but brilliant (why didn't I think of that?) and it gave me the idea to also put Velcro strips on my favorite Levo Book Holder stand so I can also put my computer on that. In another Amazon review, someone said they didn't like using Velcro, but I don't understand the issue since you put the smooth velcro strips on the bottom of your computer (not the corresponding rough ones) and they are very thin. I put on more velcro than they sent me with the table (which I got at a drug store) since I wanted really long velcro strips so I wouldn't have to look closely to align little pieces. It takes one second to stick my laptop onto this table when I'm ready to use to watch streaming TV/movies in bed. This table would also be great for anyone who is ill in the hospital or recovering at home in bed.

The table came with four screw bolts but one was the wrong size. I called the support number and the company immediately sent me several extra bolts. I think the support phone was answered by the table's designer and he was quite helpful and friendly, and he apologized for the packing error.

The table is very light and has a handle making it easy to carry from room to room. The disadvantage is that it does not fold flat unless you loosen the bolts and so if you do not want to have to adjust bolts all the time, you should have a place to store it fully assembled. It is ideal for using at home but is too big to fit in your laptop bag.

I got my portable laptop desk from The Value Emporium's warehouse in Tustin. I have been using it for a week now.. and I must say.. that I am happy so far that it works as advertised. Plastics and other material used are good in quality and the desk can hold my 17 inch hp envy which weighs in at 7 pounds with ease.

Pros:
Works as advertised.
Good quality.
Ideal only for 2 positions: a) when you are completely laid back in bed b) you are partially laid-back on your bed, supported by pillows.
Light-weight and hence portable.

Cons:
The board on which you place your laptop is always tilted and not adjustable, which means, you will never be able to get a 180 Degree flat angle with it, so if you are in a chair, or sitting on the floor, there is no way you are using laptop-laidback.
You will never get a 180 Degree flat angle for your laptop, which means, you might want to consider using a usb keyboard (I do this) for better ergonomics.

Overall, this product is less ideal for laptop-activity that involves a lot of typing / interaction when you are laid-back, and more suited for laptop-activity that involves very less interaction (watching a movie or something) when you are laid-back. I wish they had more angles like LapDawg does. It almost seems like nothing can be perfect (LapDawg has more angles, but is a flimsy product, Laptop laid-back is a solid product, but it should have been much better for the 100usd price tag)

Ever since I got my laptop,I either had to set it on my lap or with one of my legs, while sitting in my recliner. I came across this product, and chose it because of the better reviews then the other one's have gotten. It was easy to setup and adjust. And it fits in between the arms of a recliner chair. Allowing me to relax my legs and stretch out on my recliner, finally. I'm looking forward on being able to use it on my bed and couch, when I want a different sitting or laying down position. Worth the price,to be able to be more comfortable while working on your laptop.

Update 12/26/12: Occasionally I like to update my reviews on products that I still use and like and this laptop ergonomic table I bought 3 years a go is still holding up well. I've used it everywhere in my house. The only thing I've had to do with it is tighten the finger nuts on it. It would be a little more useful if it had side usb ports, since my laptop only has one left available, but I can always buy an adaptor.
