Not what I thought it woud be

I purchased this cord for my acer netbook and as another reviewer said, it is not the one pictured. It comes with a straight plug, not the angled connector which comes with the original charger which I prefer. All that would be OK except that the charger gets hot while operating, and the male charging connector tends to slip out of the laptop. It doesn't come out completely (though sometimes it does) so I'll be computing along and then find that the battery is low. What the hell!!
Bottom line is that it works but its not what I thought it would be. I wouldn't buy another one unless I couldn't get anything better. Maybe I'll give mine to my son in law who has the same machine but his dog chewed up the cord and he's got it taped up in order for it to work.

Not adequate

This adapter does not have the three pronged connection to the power cord as shown in the picture. In addition, the power cord does not have the three prongs to ground it in the wall outlet. Also, the cord and adapter are too short to reach the outlet comfortably, so the user is stuck in a place very close to the outlet. Because of its shortness, the cord pulls out of the wall outlet easily and often. Although it serves the purpose, it is inconvenient and barely adequate. As soon as I find one that is a true replacement for the original adapter, I will replace this one. If I hadn't needed to replace my original adapter immediately because the cord was frayed and sparking, I would have returned this one immediately.

Works well - cord is short

Power supply is sturdy and works well. The cord was a bit short, but to be fair the product detail didn't specify cord length. I ordered this for a friend so I couldn't say for sure how long the cord is - perhaps 4 feet? It was definitely shorter than the cord that came with the laptop. No complaints though.

NOT the pictured product

This adapter does work to charge the battery. No reward there it should work...It also should look like the pictured product. I ordered this because the plug in male end is bent at a 90 degree angle. They sent me a straight similar (plug in) that has no angle at all. I already had the same plug they sent me but prefer the angle at the insert. So I pay for the pictured product, received a SIMILAR plug that does work but have not met my need. If you order this based on the picture, you may be surprised when your daughter opens the package to discover a SIMILAR product. The price would be great if you get what you order, otherwise what is the point to order this at all. So not a great deal for me after all. Maybe you will get the product pictured....maybe

It works!

I was skeptical about this item because it's so cheap, that it wouldn't work, but I was desperate cause I don't have much money and we need our laptop for school. So to my surprise, this item actually works and charges my laptop just fine!! =) The wires are nice and thick too so I think it's going to last a lot longer than the last one I bought for $10 plus the shipping and handling, and that one didn't last long at all. Thank you for the good deal!!
