Actually Got This for my 10.1" Samsung Tab 3 for that Formal, Elegant Look - Excellent!

I wanted a case when attending formal meetings that was distinguished yet staid for my far smaller Samsung Tab 3 10.1" instead of the usual neoprene one I use. This certainly does the trick with room to spare for slim books and such!

Uses single, uniform stitching all around with a second layer of felt inside the front portion. The magnetic clasp is good and solid, and for those who pay particular attention to such aspects, there is zero "funny smells" to the felt or leather accents out of the package. All in all, an excellent unisex case with a traditional, elegant look for tablets smaller than the 13" MacBook. And I do love quality felt. :)

Stunning

Lavievert - for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to pronounce the name of this company - leverat? Then I saw their logo - La Vie Vert - French for the green life. Now I get it. Yes this is a company trying to produce green products or products that at least tread lightly.

This case is a perfect example. They took a the particle board of fabrics and elevated it to something amazing through the use of small and perfectly placed pieces of leather. This is a case that is a joy to look at and even more pleasurable to hold. That piece of leather at the bottom is soft kid glove leather that wraps up a little higher at the back. It is the perfect hand grip. The sides being leather make this case a lot sturdier and then add that touch of beauty to the side of the case. The bulk of the material appears to be recycled fabric blended into felt.

This is a slip case for a laptop. It isn't intended to hold anything other than the laptop. Sleeves are exactly that, the Spandex of laptop bags. If you have a great body, put on the Spandex and let people look at you. Well MacBooks are simple and gorgeous laptops - they deserve Spandex.

I have a slightly older MacBook Pro, 15 inch with a Speck thin plastic cover. The fit is snug. Yeah it is kind of a middle aged muffin top trying to squeeze into jeans. After the sleeve loosens up, my laptop will fit just fine. On the other hand, if you have a 15 in Air or Retina - the newer generation, this is the perfect sleeve. Those computers are super model thin and fit in this sleeve perfectly.

The snap is a light magnet to hold the flap closed. It is a pretty brass accent across the front. Because you are slipping only super model laptop into this bag, that button will hold the top closed.Read more ›

Beautifully finished

This classy yet inexpensive sleeve is perfect to give your MacBook Pro 13" an added layer of scratch protection. The sleeve is made of nice thick felt and closes with a magnetic snap. The bellows are made of leather and so is a reinforcement at the bottom of the sleeve.
As you can see on one of my pictures I use a clear plastic protector shell for my MacBook Pro; despite the added bulk, it fit without problems, but just enough for the magnetic snap to close.
This will obviously not protect your MacBook against falls and serious shocks, but it is a perfect lightweight protection against scratches and corner dings. It's so thin and lightweight that you can use it as added protection in your laptop bag, a wise precaution for air travel (you must take the laptop out but it can stay in the sleeve)
A beautiful, inexpensive sleeve, a must for any air traveler. Recommended.

Simple felt sleeve for your MacBook Pro 13". May not fit if you have a protective case or USB dongle

This is a review of the Lavievert Felt case for 13" MacBook Pro. I was provided a free case for evaluation.

The felt is a nice thickness and it feels nice in your hand. The leather bottom where you would grip it when carrying it seems to be good qualtiy and gives you a firm grip. There are also leather sides that give a distinctive look to this case.

A magnetic closure, that didn't seem quite strong enough, holds the flap shut.

This has no pockets or padding (other than what meager padding the felt provides.)

I think this is an nice simple solution for carrying your MacBook. The felt by default provides some degree of protection against rain but I would certainly not rely on it to protect my computer in heavy rain.

It's decent and a great solution if you're looking for a simple, yet attractive sleeve for your MacBook Pro.

If your MacBook (A1278) is in a case of its own, you may find it a somewhat tight fit however. I had to take the hard case off my MacBook to allow me to close the flap fully so that the magnet could engage. Also note that if you have a USB dongle for a bluetooth mouse or similar item, the case is not wide enough to accommodate the dongle... you will have to remove it.

Misaligned/weak snap; otherwise awesome!

For the price, this is an amazing case. I'm using it with an 11.6" MacBook Air, which fits perfectly. I've gotten a lot of compliments from friends and strangers.

The only issue, that other reviewers also noted, is that the magnetic snaps don't line up perfectly. It's a few millimetres out of alignment (I've included a photo), which makes snapping it tricky when your laptop is in there. Even when you do get it aligned, the snap isn't very tight; I think a properly aligned traditional snap (not magnetic) would be a bit more secure.

Still, for the price I can't complain too much. It's a great case, and I would still recommend it!
