You get what you pay for. Thought I would save some some money and buy an older generation Thinkpad. Disappointed and eventually returned it. Will spend a little more money and get the current generation Thinkpad with IPS display with SSD hard drive.

Pros. Best keyboard on a laptop I have ever used. Solid build.

Cons. Display was horrible. Caused eye strain and headache. Video playback was horrible. DVD drive makes the computer bulky. Trackpad isn't very precise. All my other computers use SSD drives, I cannot go back to a standard hard drive for the operating system especially one at 5400 rpms.

For a laptop is was both too heavy and too big for me to cart around, especially on a plane in my handbag. But the mouse pad was awful. It had no bar to click. You had to find the right spot on the square. Very very annoying. I sent it back and you were nice enough to give me a full refund. I bought a 12.5 ThinkPad direct from Lenovo to replace it. Less than three pounds. Free shipping. Only when it arrive did I realize that it had no DVD drive. No matter. I will buy an external drive from Amazon and have a full kit. I like Lenovo--just not this model.

One of the most reliable brands. This is the classical model with high performance, and it is equipped with HDD. The recovery system is very easy to easy. Highly recommended.
