Always greatest Lenovo

We have several Lenovo laptops in our office. And I always take Lenovo as the high standard computer brand. After about a week use, I find this newest model has the best-in-class keyboard. The keys have a strong tactile feel that makes typing incredibly comfortable and accurate. Almost as good is the subtle indentation in the keys themselves, which makes it easy to feel your way around and avoid adjacent-key errors. Battery life up to 9 hours is amazing, enough for an international flight from US to Paris! With its 2.7-GHz Intel Core i5-5200U, 4GB of RAM, the configuration of this ThinkPad was more than powerful enough to handle any productivity task. Its integrated Intel HD Graphics 5,500 graphics processor is fast enough for casual gaming and serious productivity. The audio is loud and, accurate. I would highly recommend this laptop.

Best business laptop.

We have several Thinkpad laptops in our office. And I always take Thinkpad as the high standard of business laptop brand. After about a week use, I find this newest model is wonderful with high performance. With its Intel Core i5-5200U, 4GB of RAM, the configuration of this Thinkpad was more than powerful enough to handle any productivity task. Its integrated Intel HD Graphics 5,500 graphics processor is fast enough for casual gaming and serious productivity. Battery life is OK too. I would highly recommend this laptop.

Dispointed with the performance of this laptop.

I am a big fan of Lenovo. My family just got 3 Lenovo last week (all different models). I am very disappointed with the performance of this one.
1) I like the style and 15.6" screen (much better than my old 14" Lenovo T420)
2) The price is reasonable (attractive).
3) The CPU is not any better than my 3-4 year old T420.
4) 4GB RAM won't allow you to do anything. Way too small. I added 8GB (about $50), total 12 GB now, the memory is finally sufficient.
5) Immediately, I replaced the hard drive with 512GB Samsung SSD drive (about $150). This made all the difference. The speed of the laptop improved many folds, plus I get rid of the agony noise, and I think the battery time will be better. I will never buy computer with regular hard drive any more. GO with SSD drive.
6) One main reason I bought this laptop is because of the 5th Generation of CPU, which claim for long battery time. But this computer battery time is only half of what it advertised
7) OS rebuild CD: Lenovo doesn't provide it online download. You have to call and wait for CD with 2nd day FedEx. Also, it took me 2 hours to reinstall the OS onto my new SSD hard drive after going through 5 CD. Not sure why it is this long. I think it is bad design.

Considering all the issues (total cost of $900, with the extra memory and SSD drive), I think my other Lenovo laptop is a better deal: Y40-80. It came with 16GB ram and 512GB SSD drive and I7 CPU, cost $999.
