so disappointing

I bought mine from frys. I wish i bought it here so i could return it without restocking fee. My old lenovo x60 is faster. Why would they even buid a new computer with such an outdated processor. I thought i would give it a chance but i am taking it back tomorrow. The s415 with the amd 2100 is not a good purchase, in my opinion.

Do Not Buy This Laptop!

Do not buy this laptop.
It is slow. It does not connect well to wifi. My room is on the other end of the house from the router and it doesn't connect. I have to walk out in the hallway to get it to work! I don't even bother trying to watch Netflix on it. The keyboard is flimsy. It doesn't have a disk drive. The battery life is probably about an hour. The list of problems goes on and on.
Do not buy this laptop.
Get a MacBook.

Poorly Made

I bought this laptop about a year ago at a Best Buy. It's by no means a great laptop, but it's met my needs for the past year. My concern now is that it's breaking. The outer casing of the laptop is cracking just from where I have been opening it and closing it. I haven't dropped it or anything, it's just poorly made.

I recommend not buying this laptop.

Shame on Lenovo!

First and foremost the biggest issue with this computer is its defective outer casing. After about 8 months of normal use the case cracked on both sides under the power button and next to where the power cord plugs in. It was still under manufacturers warranty so we paid the shipping cost to have it looked at by Lenovo. They denied the claim and sent it back to us, so we were out the $45 shipping PLUS we're stuck with a broken computer that is less than a year old. This is unacceptable because this is a known issue. I have read many similar accounts. Broken case aside, it's just a buggy dog of a laptop. Very slow out of the box. Would probably give it two stars if not for the broken case.
Will never buy another Lenovo product!

I bought my Lenovo S415 Ideapad from Fry's, as my Dell died and I needed to replace it the same day. That was 9 days ago. The zoom feature has been a problem since day 1; it doesn't matter where you move the pointer - it zooms up in size. Yesterday the touchpad began to stick. Today the audio device stopped working. My first and last Lenovo - it's going back tomorrow.

Worst PC ever

I've had this over a year and it's the worst computer I've ever owned. The pc is a slow and hate Windows 8. I am pissed that I bought it. slow, hangs, doesn't communicate with other devices like printers. PCs technology has taken a huge step backwards.

For the price this is a great laptop. You get pretty solid hardware, a nice screen, and a keyboard with great feel. It comes with windows 8, but i suggest running windows 7 on it.
