I already own a gaming desktop with high-end graphics for regular home use, and simply bought this for college and travel. The performance is quite impressive for its price (I bought it on sale for $385 during back-to-school sales). If you prefer the Windows 7 interface like I do, just install Classic Shell.

Pros:
- Plays many demanding games on low settings like Skyrim (~45 FPS), Dota 2 (~35 FPS), and GTA IV (~30 FPS); I can probably reach the 30 FPS minimum for at least 90% of current-generation games.....AT LEAST
- Streams HD videos fluently without stuttering
- Decent multitasking
- Lightweight and thin for its price and performance
- Runs quietly
- Boots in 10-20 seconds (well, assuming you remove all bloatware)
- Fan temperature remains fairly stable while gaming
- I actually like its audio quality for a laptop (speakers are located underneath)

Cons:
- This particular Radeon R5 graphics card seems slightly watered down
- Fingerprint magnet
- Weird ethernet port design.....it's hard to explain
- Touch pad response seems iffy at times

I got this as a Black Friday deal. Seemed like a great laptop. After all, my geeky buddies support Lenovo quite a bit. However, I had nothing but misfortune with this laptop. Are there positives? Sure, but considering the competition exceeds the goods, I can't say I will ever buy a Lenovo again. Luckily, I was in the return frame.

Cons:
-Unresponsive trackpad- Takes a bit of effort to use the damn mouse, and the click buttons take a LOT of pressure just to get a response. Not to mention they are loud.
-Slow processor- So maybe you don't need a fifth generation Core i7 processor, and the A8 is somewhat of a reaction to the Core i3. A8 is *technically* better, but something about my computer just seemed so slow compared to my previous i3 Toshiba laptop. I removed all bloatware, so I doubt that was a problem. Of course, speed could be many things, but eh.
-The mindless bloatware- I understand: companies make deals with Lenovo to include terrible programs that don't do anyone any good, and no one would even know about them unless they were included on the computer. Have fun deleting the numerous useless apps and programs off this.
-The cheaper components- Lenovo seems to get off on using more generic hardware. Don't get me wrong- it's great that it lowers cost, but I just feel suspicious using such unrecognizable RAM sticks and other such components.
-Personnel problems- My Lenovo had a dead pixel and a defective DVD drive that wouldn't rip CDs properly. I reinstalled the drivers and reset the computer to no avail. Had to have been a hardware issue. Dead pixels are expected every now and again, but the combo was just ridiculous.

I purchased this from local retailer. I even did not turn on the machine right after purchase.
It is extremely easy to replace HDD since it requires unscrew only three bolt to open laptop completely.
In order to install Windows 7, BIOS has to be configured also. Change it to Legacy mode and installation and all set.

CPU:
Cheap SSD with A8-6410 runs everything smooth except high-end games. Windows 7 CPU scores 6.4. In real world, I would rate between i3 U version and i5 U version. Some apps run better than i5-4210U but some apps run slower than i3-4005U.

RAM:
6GB is somewhat not enough for heavy task since IGP occupied more than 1GB memory for graphic processing.

GPU:
Clearly better than any Intel IGP out now. Perhaps Intel iris could be better but it will cost three times more than this laptop.

Noise:
The fan runs constantly but not that loud. You can hear humming sound occasionally.

Weight
This is very light even though with DVD-RW. Numpad + optical drive 15" laptop is about 4.6 lbs. Very good for carrying around.

Touchpad
People complaining about accuracy but I actually like dedicated button with touchpad. Many ultrabook class laptop has one big touchpad without mechanical button but this one has it. It is not too sensitive which is pro to me.

Battery
This is the only disappointing category. With light workload, it will last only 3~4 hours.

Conclusion.
For $250~$350 price range, this has the unbeatable price per value. Laptop feels somewhat cheap but it can hold any office and web application without hiccup.

Design: 1TB Verified Purchase
Background: I needed a new laptop after my Lenovo Thinkpad kind of fell apart, after around 4 years though so that is understandable.
There are many good things about this laptop. There are few bad.
Negatives:
-The one thing you will notice is the bloat when you first receive it. Reading the reviews, I thought it was all exaggeration but it isn't, it is full of bloat. It took me around 3 hours to get rid of it all and install everything I wanted. Once it is all gone, it runs smooth and fast. The first thing you should install is Malwarebytes though. After running Malwarebytes, it found 94 threats. Run that immediately and get rid of superfish.
-The keys stick as well. It is not a big deal while typing, but if you play some games, which I will talk about, it can get irritating. You really have to press hard while typing for it to be accurate. Not the best for people who are comfortable with a more sensitive laptop.
-The function keys are on the same keys as the volume, refresh, brightness, etc., keys but I think that is how most laptops do it now. I just wish differently.
With all of these, I took off one star as one can be fixed, and two just take getting comfortable with.

Positives:
-The price for what you are getting. The bloat really lowers the price on this, which is actually good for someone like me, a part time worker/college student who knows how to remove bloat easily. A8 is great and for this price, you can't beat it.
-Casual gaming is great with this laptop. Triple A games will not run on this laptop. On the other hand; Terraria, Team Fortress 2, Minecraft, and a plethora of great indie games run perfectly. No lag at all, nearly a consistent 60 fps, with settings on high in TF2 which is not what I was expecting.
