Good for light/moderate load and home use.

My company bought a couple of these as travel/presentation laptops. They are fairly small and light, with just enough horsepower to accomplish common tasks without slowing down. I would however not use these as the primary computer for any employee, maybe a personal home user, but not when efficiency or lack of it can cost money.

This was a replacement unit. The first one I received was dead on arrival. In regards to my original order, the item was received on time but would not turn on or power up. I had a choice of returning the laptop for a full refund or receiving a replacement. I opted to get another unit and am delighted with the replacement. It looks brand new and it was received within 2 days. Very happy with the follow-through I received.

One thing that was a pleasant surprise is that the laptop did not contain a lot of bloatware or craplets that most would expect now days from a retail store. This laptop is focused on business use and I really appreciate that. It did have a 30 day free version of Norton, some obscure web browser, a PDF creator from a company I've never heard of before, and Lenovo software, but that was it.

I bought it to do small stuff like creating Word documents and to search the internet. For that it is working just fine. I really like the ThinkPad keyboard and that was one of my main reason for buying it. The keyboard feels great. Lots of tact so you can really press down on the keys.

Time will tell how the laptop will perform in the long run but for now I am pleased with it and what I paid for it.
