Okay, I've had this laptop for only about 6days now so take that into consideration when reading this. Anyhow, so far its been a great laptop! It's fast, works well, no problems at all. BUT I will reiterate some of the things a few other reviews have said, for one it is pretty cheaply made, I mean it feels like one drop could break it. I'm not too concerned about this because I mainly bought it to use as a replacement for my six year old desk top,

Also it is shipped with a ton of bloatware already installed. That could be why other reviewers said it was slow. Anyhow I removed almost all of it and yeah the computer runs great!

In summary,
1. Good specs on the inside, but cheap plastic on the outside.
2. A lot of bloatware, but if you know how to remove it, and don't drop your computer, this is a great laptop!

Awful Laptop!

We ordered one because the Lenovo B590s were out of stock and it'll be the last. We got the i3 version. We prefer to sell Windows 7 machines at our computer shop and we needed it quick and Amazon claimed this is new version to the B590.

Top half of the screen case had multiple deep scratches across it fresh out of the box.
Keyboard felt extremely cheap, flimsy and thin. Trackpad seemed be very odd as the cursor would jump around the screen.
Ran very slow compared to the B590's stock components. We were forced to upgrade the RAM and put an SSD in just to make it usable. No mSata slot either.
Came pre-loaded with double the amount of Lenovo Junkware compared to the B590. There was so much it would've been faster to reload Windows fresh.

I honestly cannot recommend this laptop or ever buy it again, which is a shame because Lenovo is supposed to be a great brand.
Wish they would just continue to make B590s and keep them at a reasonable price. That laptop was perfect!

Very light weight, to the point of almost bendable. They boast Dolby sound but the sound is nothing special. No paper manual or user's guide and a rather skimpy online guide. If I had purchased a computer in a store where I could have touched it I would not have purchased it. I do have a Lenovo that is ten years old but the cooling fan has problems. The old Lenovo is much sturdier. If the this one last as long as the old one it will be OK.

Decent Lenovo laptop - too much bloatware pre-installed

This review would be a bit higher since the laptop functions well, very, very reasonable price point and has all the necessary USB ports and good screen size. BUT: The bloatware is simply ridiculous and takes about +1 hour to finally get through uninstalling all the bloatware Lenovo installs for the computer. This past week also bought an HP laptop and not necessarily as much bloatware pre-installed compared to the Lenovo.

Overall good laptop with a few issues.

I have only had this laptop for about a week, but here are my initial thoughts. Prior to this purchase, I had bought a T540 from Lenovo's website. Overall it seemed like a great machine, but the mouse pad was the new type without buttons (the only option on Lenovo's site). This was very finicky, almost uncontrollable, especially when scrolling or using Excel. I could have used a wireless or plug-in mouse, but I bought a LAPtop for a reason. I returned the T540.
So far this laptop is working well. I wanted Windows 7, having heard nothing good about 8. 8.1 would have been acceptable, but it was nice to have the option to stick with 7. The screen looks good. I agree with other reviews that the sound is nothing special, but this is not a big consideration for me. I didn't notice the flex in the keyboard until reading other reviews. It does flex a little but isn't a problem. Hopefully this is just the plastic flexing and will not cause trouble with the boards later.
I have two issues with this laptop, one that is more of an observation and one that I have to do something about. Like most keyboards, this has little bumps on the "F" and "J" keys, the "5" of the numeric pad and the up, down, right and left keys. I wish these bumps were a little more prominent. As they are, you can barely feel them. This is just a preference. Other people might like them smaller like this. The issue I have to address involves the front edge of the machine where I rest the heel of my hand while using the mouse pad. It angles back underneath at a fairly sharp angle. Thankfully this is plastic. If it were metal it would feel like an axe blade. As it is, after 3 or 4 hours of this sharp edge digging into my hand it gets pretty irritating.Read more ›

Have had for about a month. Really happy with it so far. Runs quickly. Thin. It is a little heavier than I prefer and the keyboard is fairly flimsy, but really suits my needs. I work an office job from home, so need to run a few programs at once. Handles it without any issues.
