Very Pleasant Surprise

At nine dollars with Prime shipping, I felt no hesitation making this purchase. And I must say, upon arrival of the case, I'm happy I did!

The case is 11 1/2 in. x 16 in. x 1 in. Each side is black neoprene, with a 1 inch nicely-stitched nylon strip that holds the two sides together and gives the case perfect depth for the computer. The case is lined with a light fleece in the color of the accent stitching on the outer pocket. By the way, if the color of the accent stitching color (if it's a bother to you) could be eliminated in about two seconds with a Sharpie marker. I got red, and found it subtle enough. Actually kind of think it's funny this is available in several accent colors, but whatever, I have a flyer red computer.

Although it is in the description, it is hard to see that this case loads from the short side and has a single permanent self-retracting handle on the top. Also something I would not have noticed until I went back through the description, is that the side pocket is zippered. The zipper is a couple inches down inside the pouch. While you don't have to zip it to use the pouch, it's nice to know it's there.

I guess time will tell how long this case will hold up, but it really seems pretty sturdy, and I'm confident it was worth a lot more than I paid.

Smaller than described

This item is NOT 17 x 12 x 1.2 inches as listed in the specs. It is 16 x 11.5 x 1 inches. I am able to cram (and I DO mean cram) the laptop for which it was purchased into it, but it is extra difficult to do since it opens from the end and not the side. The reason I bought it is because, based on the dimensions, it should have been an easy fit for my odd-sized Dell Latitude.

It is a little tight for my laptop. Not crazy about the side zipper - would be easier to get laptop in and out if the zipper was in the front and opened side to side. But for the price it works.
