Ergonomics:
First of all, this is clearly designed to be a portable notebook mouse and this is what this review is geared towards. It's smaller than a standard mouse, about 75% the size. Ergonomics is different for every person, obviously. I'm sure everyone has used a 'standard' mouse and can see the picture of it's shape so that will give you more of an idea than any reviewer's words could. I personally like it, it's not super tiny like my other notebook mice which I basically have to use my finger tips to use. Button and scrolling felt very good. Real 'clicks' and easy wheel use.

Installation:
Tried with XP and Windows 7 notebooks. Took about 3 seconds before I could move the cursor.

Performance:
This is as responsive as the wired ones. Using a graphics program, I was able to draw a series of relatively accurate circles. I would not be able to do that with my MS optical mouse. I don't play FPS (First Person Shooting) games anymore however I would feel comfortable using it just as much as any wired mouse. Will it replace a good gaming mouse? No way, but as I mentioned before, it's a portable notebook mouse, and would do just fine if you want to blast away on a business trip or between classes. I tried it on a multitude of surfaces and all worked very well, including a sheet of clear plastic which surprised me. Worked well on my jeans and the back of my girlfriend's head to my surprise and to her angst.

Portability:
This is where this it's absolutely, positively PHENOMENAL. The dongle is tiny (as in GOOD). So much so, I know I'll easily forget about it and it does stick out to where it could snag on something if it's brushed up against something snug.

I did love this mouse. It worked on a number of surfaces, connected quickly, and scrolled smoothly. HOWEVER, do not buy a mouse with a Unifying receiver if you plan to use it with more than one computer. Directly from their website: "Some Unifying devices have a limit of forty-five (45) unique connections. If you're using such a device with multiple receivers, once you connect 45 times, you won't be able to connect to additional Unifying receivers." ... "Because your mouse is switching between two Unifying receivers, each time you connect, you use one of the total available connections. Eventually, you will hit the connection limit."
Not happy. This was nowhere in the instructions and it would have been great to know BEFORE I used up my 45 connections. Since my old laptop has since died and that was the 45th connection, I have a useless mouse now. Granted, I don't know much about electronics, but this seems like planned obsolescence to me...

This mouse is a delight to use! It fits perfectly in the hand with no feeling of awkwardness at all. It is incredibly sensitive as it zips smoothly across the screen. I love the teeny-tiny nano receiver that plugs discreetly and unobtrusively into my computer; no more clumsy mouse drive sticking an inch and a half off the side of my laptop. I was going to use this as a backup for my current mouse, but I can't go back to my other, stiff, clunky mouse. Love it!

I just got a new laptop, and wanted a mouse to use with it. I hate touchpads with an unholy passion, but trying to wrangle a corded mouse with a laptop is an exercise in frustration. This little Logitech Wireless Mouse is a dream come true for me.

Features I like:

The mouse is about 3/4 size of my desktop mouse. It is small enough to fit my hand comfortably, but large enough to be fully funtional without having to make accommodations for the smaller size.

The Logitech mouse is the perfect size for the lapdesk mouse pad I use with my laptop.

So simple and easy to set up. I had it up and running within seconds of plugging it into the USB port.

The mouse has good hand feel. It feels solid, the wheel "clicks" a bit as you spin it, the right and left buttons are solid.

The wheel, as I mentioned, has a slight click to it as you scroll. As such, it doesn't run away with the page. You have control over how fast you scroll.

On/off button to conserve battery life.

Things I would change:

Nothing so far. I have been using this mouse for a week, and I have not had any issues at all. I am very happy to have acquired this product, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a wireless mouse.

This mouse is probably a good mouse for basic tasks: precise, responsive and no lag connection with wireless USB transmitter.
But this mouse is really making me sick. I am working mostly with CAD graphic applications and presentations and buying this mouse was may big mistake.
First of all it's small, only 4 inches (though good for laptop users) and really not convenient for long use. Second this mouse made from a cheap plastic and third it so noisy so that I waking up the whole my family in the house during my night work.
Conclusion: if you need a good mouse spend a little more money for a better Logitech product.
