Very Quiet and Moves a Lot of Air

A good laptop chiller pad becomes important when you run a lot of graphics-intensive games or if you are doing anything requiring the CPU to run a heavy load. Heat is the enemy of a computer system and the fastest way to a dead laptop is to not deal with heat issues when there’s a problem. I had a chill pad some time ago and it was sub-par. This one by LotFancy is much better and it does a good job.

First off, this is a big chill pad, the same basic dimensions as my laptop but much thicker. I have a 15.6" laptop and this pad is almost a perfect and exact fit, with only a narrow area in the back that extends past the end of the laptop. If you want a small and petite chill pad, this is not the one you want. It does incline too with a metal bar and slots in the case so that the laptop can be angled up. This actually is good for exposing it to even more air.

This chill pad connects to a USB port so it can either be plugged into a port on the computer or into a hub. There are two ports on it and both seem to be the same in terms of how the pad operates. That is, the pad operates at the same speed regardless of which port is used. There are also two buttons on the pad for turning it on. One turns on the larger fan in the middle, and the other turns on all the other fans. Two green LEDs next to those buttons indicate that the pad is powered on and working.

This pad moves a lot of air and it does a good job of cooling the laptop. But, it does so very quietly which is a huge plus. I have it set up in my home office and the pad makes about as much noise as a desktop computer, maybe a little less. The sound it makes is a gentle hum.

I have gone thru several cooling pads over the last few years... this is the best one so far! Thanks LotFancy!!

I have gone thru several cooling pads over the last few years because I have a Dell Studio 1558 i7 that unfortunately severely overheats - a manufacturer flaw. So I was glad when I got the opportunity to test/review this product.

The pad has 5 fans so that the entire surface of my laptop has cool air blowing against it (I like this concept better than one, two or three fans). Sure it has a cool blue lights that make the fan blades shine a blue light. Since it has five fans I was expecting it to be loud. But it’s relatively quiet. Fan settings include - All five running, four corner fans running or one larger center fan running.

The cooling pad offers 6 height settings to position your laptop at an ideal viewing or typing angle. (Picture showed the steepest incline) & there are two little bumpers that prevent you laptop from sliding off the pad.

The fans are powered by one USB port so no power adapter is needed (and the pad offers an additional USB port to connect other devices) The company does give you the USB cord to plug your laptop into the cooling pad.

This laptop cooling pad is just perfect!

This laptop cooling pad is just perfect! I really wanted something like this for my teenage son who keeps his laptop on the bed. I am always afraid that he is going to overheat it and kill it, or the heat will cause a fire.

This cooling pad is something special. It has five fans which QUIETLY circulate a ton of air. I was really surprised at the fact that you cannot hear it running at all. It has blue-ish purple lights on all of the fans.

It is easy to use. It comes with a USB cord so that you can plug it into the laptop or an external power device. There are two buttons. One button turns the four outer fans on and off. The other button turns on the center fan and lights.

There is a kick stand on the back of this as well. This way you can use your laptop while it is slightly raised. We can't do that because the rubber anti-skid stickers are gone off of the old laptop, but it is a nice feature.

Overall, I find it to be an excellent product. I cannot find any reason to not like it. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, and again, it does it quietly! I definitely recommend it. ~sample provided for testing and review

Works well, moves a lot of air, purple lights a bit distracting

The LotFancy laptop cooler, if you are looking for something that can move a lot of air and does it quietly, does a fantastic job at that.

Using this is pretty simple, though no instructions where included. Take the included USB cable, plug it into your laptop and then press one or both of the buttons at the top of the device and the main fan will begin to spin, or the smaller fans, or if you press both, the small and large fans spin. The amount of air it moves, is pretty impressive.

So if it works so well, why only 4 stars? The big reason for me is the lights. There is no way to disable to purple lights within the fans, which I find distracting. Certainly it follows the concept of PC bling but I don't buy into that. Having another button to disable the lights would have been nice. The second part is the green LEDs they use to indicate the power being on for the fans. They are cheap, and mine came bent in the case. If you have the purple lights illuminated, do you really need green lights to indicate power is on? I guess. I covered them with black electrical tape.

If you don't mind the purple lights, and want to move a lot of air around your laptop, up to 17", then this is pretty fantastic.

Recommended.
