It Cools Your Laptop and...Also Looks Cool

I was overjoyed to get this shipped over to me, and I hooked it up right away underneath my Samsung series 5 Ultrabook.

I work that laptop to the hilt with a couple monitors hooked up to it, and a myriad of assorted USB powered devices. The other day I began to hear the internal fan working harder than usual. While I use a compressed air can to blast out the dust on a regular basis, it didn't seem to help as much this time. And with unseasonably warm weather in the latter weeks of winter, I could tell my computer was huffing and puffing.

So I put this cooling pad underneath it, powered it up and went about my normal work. After several hours, I was convinced that this cooling pad was indeed helping. My computers internal fan did not seem to be working as hard. I could tell because it was not going through cycles blowing audibly louder as much as before.

So after using this for a few days, here are some reasons I would highly recommend this if you are experiencing some overheating issues with your laptop:

+ With two large fans, it blows a steady amount of air.
+ It's USB powered. To turn it, you turn a switch.
+ That same switch also allows you to increase or decrease the intensity of the blowing. It also allows you to adjust the brightness of a blue light underneath your laptop, which adds an element of eye candy.
+ It's quiet. In fact it's so quiet that you initially may wonder if it's even on, but put your hand underneath and you will definitely feel it.
+ You're able to tilt your laptop to four different heights, in order to allow for more ventilation.

Super low power consumption, noise, and great for cooling all sorts of hardware

This was my first experience with a laptop cooler. Although I own a few laptops, none of them are over-clocked or get to a point where they require extra cooling. When testing out this unit, I did learn that the cooling pad works as a good laptop stand, whether you need cooling or not. Here's some other observations:

-- There's a dial which you can turn to adjust the speed of the fans and the brightness of the purple/blue LEDs. The fan speed and lights have a linear relationship with respect to the dial, you turn down or turn up both.

-- At full power, the cooler only draws 2.5 watts, which I found to be incredible. At this "cost", there's no need to worry about turning it off.

-- There are two USB ports at the rear. Plug in one to AC power with the supplied cable, and the other becomes available for supplying power to other USB devices.

-- There are five positions you can use to angle the cooler, including flat. A flip up piece at the base prevents your hardware from sliding off.

-- At full speed, the sound is almost nonexistent.

-- You can power the cooler with AC power, or you can just plug into your laptop. At 2.5 watts, the power usage is fairly insignificant.

-- My cat loves to sleep on it. Seriously.

Keep in mind this doesn't need to be used on laptops. I ended up using it on a power-over-ethernet (POE) switch that I have in a fairly warm part of the house. This cooler was able to increase circulation and add some peace of mind. The POE switch was able to power the cooler with it's own port as well.

Lovely product, very well made!

The stand is perfect for my mom's old Laptop 17" Dell XP. It can fit the PC Perfectly and keeps it form overheating. Even if I don't use it often, this old laptop heats up fast. So to make my new entertainment PC more efficient and not overheated, I feel this is something I really enjoy.

It keeps my laptop from becoming super hot and the ability to adjust it to an angel that is more suitable or comfortable to me is excellent.
I love the easy USB Attachment and even If I don't turn the fans on, it still works to keep the laptop adjusted to a perfect height. The Blue lights actually are really nice in the dark and the sound of the fans are super quiet.

The entire stand is very well made, durable and can hold a heavy laptop as this Windows XP 17" I have. I can even put my newer 15" on top, when using it.

Features I love to point out that really make this a great product:

Stand Adjustable - The back there is an adjustable bar that you can choose your angle that you want the laptop to sit at. There are sections to select from the lowest position to the highest. I find the second to the last from the back is perfect for my laptop.
Durable - The entire stand is very well made! It's able to withstand the pressure of your heavy laptop on top. The fans seem to have a quiet sound, you really hear nothing when it's on the highest setting.
Non-slip Grip Bottom - The bottom has four non-slip pieces that keep it positioned on the desk or table your using. Also leaves no marks or scratches.
Fans - Help it cool down the laptop, causing less problems to the laptop with the heat building up from underneath, by the battery.

Finally, it's an excellent product, very well made!
