Really well built.

4 stars because it was advertised as having a 22 inch arm. I was looking for a very long arm so it would fit across my living room chair. The arm is actually only 16 inches. The remaining length is the laptop tray which doesn't really aid in extension if you mount it to your side. However I am going to tinker with it so it works because the product is so well built.

This laptop arm is very heavy and very sturdy. It will likely outlive your computer AND your desk. It really does need to be mounter on something at least an inch thick and equally as sturdy. I think it maybe heavy enough to actually damage and break fiberboard.

The instructions are only pictures so though it is very easy to put together, you may need help if you have never assembled anything before. There are no rubber or felt pads on the clamp screws and this may mar furniture when tightly screwed.

The unit went together easily in about 15 minutes. Everything was well machined and lined up perfectly. Nothing feels loose or shoddy. The enclosed key-wrench is used for assembly of the clamp/post and tightening of all the joints to your preference. Rubber feet and velcro are included to create a nonslip surface for your laptop. The arm will swing 360 degrees and includes clips to keep wires out of the way. All the joints were tight enough on arrival. We haven't needed to adjust them. The arm only articulates laterally and can only be lowered to about 1" above table height. The base of the pole is as low as the arm can go.

Compared to all the other wiggly, jiggly and shaky laptop stands/desks I've read about, this one is a
well constructed gem. If the length is ok then go for it. You won't be sorry.

I am a disabled person and I do not use this in the conventional way. Due to my disability I cannot use my hands to type. I use what is called a mouth stick to type on the computer. I put the keyboard on top of it and have it adjusted so it's about a foot or so away from my mouth. It puts the keyboard at the perfect height. The mount is very well-built and looks attractive. You should advertise this as a disability tray for all kinds of purposes like book reading, keyboard stand, etc. You cannot go wrong with the price neither. Definitely recommending to all of my other disabled friends.

Almost perfect for bed or couch use.

This Laptop stand is letting me work from home easily from my couch. I have it clamped to a side table. It is rock solid, pretty easy to install, stays put, and was easy to adjust to the tension in the joints I wanted. I bought this due to an ankle surgery, so I could work at home, and have leg elevated.

Would of been 5-stars but needs one thing. The reach ideally would be twice as far for a maximum length. I have to face to one side to work. It doesn't reach the middle of my lap. Also double the length of reach would make this great for bed use.

This is a solid stand. I'm buying a second one for my other laptop. The laptop try tilts to 45 degrees and is solid to type on. The chrome handle on the front slides out to where you can rest up to a letter size paper or book on it for easy data entry or reference.

Also purchased SIIG Tilt/swivel/rotate Dual Extend Arms Desk Mount for 13 to 27 Inches...

With these stands I'm able to move my monitor and laptops around to suit my viewing height, distance and angles. Fully customizable ergonomics!

If your desk won't break you could stand on it.

Very high quality item at any price. Be prepared to be impressed. The clamp is adjustable to about 5 inches thick to accomadate not just the thin desk tops but one like mine. My desk has the smallest of lips that just would not be enough to clamp anything to. But, the clamps opens up enough to clamp to almost anything. Very nice. I like it alot. The expandable wire will hold a wireless keyboard also. Enjoy.
