I bought this for about $5. It's really light and that causes it to slide around sometimes when you use it, especially if you type fast like me. It connects via USB, which could be inconvenient for some users with fewer available USB ports but is perfect for my laptop. It has a little wire stand that flips on the underside so you can type at an angle.

I'd say it's a good buy for what I paid. Also, I got it in just a few days.

This product worked great. The only issue that might be addressed is the weight. it wants to move around, so I used one of those kitchen grabbers and place the keyboard on it.

Working with a XPS17 found the need to have asci character sets to provide the missing numeric keypad as utilizing the Dell Character map requires too many keystrokes to maintain the train of thought when writing.

Of course the numeric keypad also functions exactly as described for rapid numeric input as well.

Been using it now a bit more than a month and am very satisfied.

I purchased this due to having my part time job at home doing surveys where all the answers are numeric and my computer doesn't have a numeric keypad. This has been working great for a few months.

Just plug it into the computer and that's it. It Is great for computers that do not have a number keypad. Shipping does take about a month because it comes from China.

It is working now, but had a little trouble with it.

Worked great the first few times I needed it, then the 4, 5, 6, backspace row stopped working. Was really frustrated, as much as I could be for a $5 piece of electronics. Took it apart to see if I could fix it and noticed that it uses a plastic film with electrodes to make contact when a key is pressed. I guess that row was out of alignment or something because it worked after I put it back together. Otherwise happy with the build quality, surprised really for the price.

I have tested it on my Windows 7 desktop but I use it on my MacBook mostly because there is no number pad built in. I could get by without except that some software I use (Blender to be specific) used the number pad for certain tasks.

This is an excellent accessory for my Dell laptop, my PC immediately recognized it and started to use it immediately. I use it always for work and personal use as well, although weight is very light, it hardly moves when keying numbers; on the positive side of light weight, I always carry it wherever I go with practically no extra weight on my carrying case.
Price wise is very affordable, and in spite tat it had to be shipped from overseas, since there was no hurry for me, I waited the 2-3 weeks of the in-transit with no issues at all,
Strongly recommended for people who types series of numbers a lot, you'll love it!

I bought this to use with a work laptop on which I compose and arrange music regularly. Having dedicated number keys makes the job much easier and faster. This product worked perfectly upon plugging it into my Dell laptop (running Windows XP...to give you and idea how old it is). The cord was long enough for my use and the "feel" of the buttons was good. It certainly did not feel cheap or inexpensive in any way.
