Works Perfect

I recently bought a new All-In-One PC running Intel's 4G i5 processor and 8GB of RAM. Granted, 8GB is more than enough for just about anything, it was upgradeable to 16GB. So, I bought this PNY laptop size 8GB DDR3 1600MHz PC3-12800MB/s memory. Now I'm at a total of 16GB on my new PC and super happy! Tons of memory for virtually anything and it was a snap to install. Windows 8.1 64-bit recognized it no problem.

One note of caution. Be sure to know the exact specs and size of what you need before you buy. Little did I know this "AIO" computer uses laptop size memory not desktop size memory even though it's technically a desktop! I mistakenly bought desktop memory at first and of course it didn't fit.

Painfully bad. Supposedly "compatible" with Macs

Painfully bad. Supposedly "compatible" with Macs, I have a 2.5 GHz i5 Mac Mini which accepts these.

After a quick installation, my system went from stable to not. Random crashes, freezing, and the screen going black. The timing was awfully suspicious.

Ran Apple Hardware Test (extended) on a loop, and within five minutes I had errors. Thinking it was one bad stick, I isolated each stick in its own slot and ran the test. Isolated one bad stick within the five minutes (again), so I ran the other through the same test out of curiosity. Ten minutes later, BAM - error. So I have two bad sticks from the same package. What are the odds of that? Pretty high. But I've never run into this with better branded memory - Crucial, Mushkin, Kingston, etc.

Lesson learned: never again, PNY.

Update: I took the plunge with a different brand, G. Skill Ripjaws PC3-128000 SODIMMs 8 GB x 2. Extremely stable out of the package. No random crashes. Go figure.

Excelllent option in upgrading current Budget Line notebooks

This is great for those new small form factor windows 8.1 touch notebooks being released in the market late 2013 and early 2014.

Highly recommend this cheap $80 8GB memory update to replace common 2-4GB memory found in those budget line (sub $400 Win8.1) 11.6-14" touch notebooks.

Bought 2 packs. 1 pack DOA..

Ordered two packages. So 4 sticks of 8GB. Installed them and my new iMac and it wouldn't boot. So I mixed and matched until I found the two cards out of the 4 that weren't DOA. I contacted the seller and they are letting me return them. But it hasn't quite happened yet so we shall see.......

The item came in right on time and the only thing I was really worried about was the voltage it was supposedly using. I would suggest updating that Voltage to 1.3 as that is how much it actually uses. And It's SODIMM RAM. Anyways I was praying the entire time it was being shipped here that it was the right RAM, and the right RAM it was! I got it when it was on sale so I saved quite a bit,and I'm satisfied with such. Paid less than a hundred for it and now instead of my Laptop reading 7.8 gigs it now reads 15.8 gigs. now to upgrade my Hard drive to an SSD drive.

Update 7/9/2015: Not sure if it's just my PC overheating but the RAM is having some problems with my PC now. It did well while it lasted for that 4-5 months it lasted. It's starting to have errors, and my PC is blue screening because of such. This went from a 5 star rating down to a 2 star rating in my opinion. I used my copy of linux to do some mem test on it. I would NOT suggest this to another person.

This is my second purchase in 2 years. Both packaging had note on the corner that stated Mac compatible. I first installed it in a 2011 Macbook pro (2.4 sandy bridge) and this later memory for midyear 2011 Mac Mini (2.3 sandy bridge).
This is the 1.5v memory and it will not work on some of the newer Macs.... 2009 or newer macs that require ddr3 memory.
I ran the Mac memory test on both modules and did not see any errors.

They work like a charm, as long as your laptop's BIOS supports 8 GB modules. Otherwise check and see if a BIOS update is available that might still allow you to enjoy the benefits of considerably more RAM, maxing out 16 GB is you have only 2 slots available, or otherwise enjoying 32 GB of RAM if you have 4 slots available, e.g. in the Lenovo Thinkpad W series laptops.
