Excellent sturdy (heavy duty) stand, especially for the price

For $20 something this thing is awesome, especially considering other stands are around $150 (crane stand) and are lot less sturdy--of course the crane stand is collapsible, this one isn't. With that said, the stand doesn't come with instructions on assembly, but then again, it's pretty simple to figure out. It's like lego's: there's more than just one way of putting this together to suit your needs. You can also assemble this thing to make it wide, normal or narrow to fit whatever you decided to put on it.

Alright... so here's a rundown:

Quality: 10
Portability: 6 (it takes about 3 min to assemble; once you know what you're doing)
Value: 10

Functionality/flexibility: 10

You will either love this, or hate this

If you read nothing else, just read these two points below:
1. If you're using this and you plan to have equipment under the legs such as a drum machine or keyboard, this will not work for you (unless the the machine has a good amount of space under it).
2. If you're not putting anything over the legs of the stand, then this is what you want. This is VERY sturdy.

The title says it all. This is one of those pieces of equipment that's either gonna work for you, or it's not. I make music, and i have a pretty structured set up with fairly limited space. I have an MPK61 keyboard, APC40, and a Maschine controller. Since I have limited space, I have the laptop, and Maschine on two separate laptop stands (the Odyssey stands) and it works perfect, the legs of the laptop stands, go right underneath the MPK and all is well. YOU CANNOT DO THAT WITH THIS STAND! lucky for me, i have just enough space on my desk to not have to put the legs of the PYLE beneath anything. I tried to but because the legs have extra metal (used for stability which I'll talk about it in a sec) you can't really put anything on top of them (unless there is significant space for it). This works for me, because I was able to place it somewhere where no equipment needed to be over the legs.

The sturdiness of this thing is remarkable. Like I mentioned above, I have the Odyssey laptop stand, and when my palms rest on my laptop, I can feel the stand giving to my weight almost like it could bend or something. I don't get that with this stand. It's really sturdy and doesn't give when my palms are resting on my laptop while i'm using it.

I would recommend this product if you don't plan on putting anything over the legs. If you do plan on putting something over the legs, make sure you have space underneath your equipment (or some kind of riser).

Excellent value laptop stand

I spent a bit of time looking over options here on Amazon for laptop stands. I wanted one that had adjustable height and a storage shelf for my external audio interface.

I settled on the Pyle-Pro mainly based of the price, there didn't look to be much of a feature difference between the pyle and other laptop stands on amazon. I mean its a laptop stand, how complicated can it be? I was a bit worried about the quality of the product, but can say now honestly say I am impressed with the product.

With it's price point it can't be beat. It's a very solid stand. Assembly was quick and easy, instructions were not included in the box, however are easily available here on amazon.

If you're looking for a solid laptop stand at an appropriate price, this one is it.

Works great

Solid and a good value. As another reviewer stated, you can't slide the feet under a lot of equipment unless the gear has plenty of room under it. I am using it for a Maschine Studio and it works great. I'm adding a photo of the stand with my computer, Focusrite Saffire Pro 14 audio interface, and Maschine Studio set up. Couldn't be happier.

Good value for the price!

Even though I have more cons than pros for this unit, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. The cons are small enough issues to not cause me any regret in purchasing this stand.

Pros:
*Well built
*Inexpensive and cost much less than most other stands.
*Has extra shelf

Cons:
*The rubber stoppers on the front are just a bit too short to be functional in keeping the laptop from slipping, as my HP is slightly curved upward on the bottom front. I would worry about this in a live setting where there are lots of vibrations, and may have to use tape or some other method to heighten the stoppers. I am also waiting for a laptop cooler to arrive, and an worried this will be an even bigger problem after that. Wouldn't be a problem with thinner laptops.

*The shelf on the bottom is much smaller than it looks in the photos, and technically once this thing is together, the shelf is no longer "adjustable". You would have to shorten the entire stand horizontally, and that would cause it to be too small for my 17.3" laptop. This would also require almost completely disassembling the unit to make the adjustment. Not a huge deal as I don't see reason to shorten the stand, but to advertise as "adjustable" is a little misleading.

*As other reviews have mentioned, this does not come with instructions, BUT the instructions are included right in the photos of the stand on Amazon. Pay attention people.

*I could have used a third hand when putting this together. It was a little difficult to hold the pieces together but it wasn't rocket science.

I am definitely happy with this purchase.
