this is genius invetion and has saved my Acer laptop.I noticed another reviewer mention cooling pads..we have tried theose as well and found them to be a hassle.the laptop cooling fan has some serious power and does exactly what it's designed to do.Before trying this out.my laptop would get hot very

at first.I was a little intimidated by all the pieces when I first opened the box,so i was relieved to see an instruction manual included.I was able to install without problem.Be sure to try all the silicom pieces out to find the one that fits best.it's more trial/error than anything. After you find the best fit .it's easy to install.

we keep the cooler on default mode which intelligently adjusts the suction according to the temperation rangge it detected

Case Fan for your Laptop

I've been mostly tracking my GPU temps. Since Keplar architectures will throttle at 68F, I can say that overclocking at 135/200 has kept it under that limit, and keeps the laptop cool to touch. The reason this works is due to the fact that laptop's struggle with one thing that PCs don't: they accumulate heat. Laptop fans are often working to both pull heat off the heatsinks and push heat out of the computer. It generally doesn't do a good job at the latter since it's a second priority. This fan acts as a case fan and pulls the heat out of the computer so it doesn't linger. I highly recommend this product, as it alleviates one of the fundamental issues with ALL high performance laptops.

Simple, but super effective! Comes off easily for transportation, and the build quality feels great.

In testing, I rendered some 4K video footage until my laptop's processor reached 205F. While the laptop was still running, I locked the patekfly cooler in place, fired it up, and watched the temperature drop to 150-160F, never going above that temp. Awesome product, I will take mine everywhere. The entire top plate of the laptop where my wrists lie feels cold!!!

great for what it is

My laptop gets too hot for me to keep it on my lap. I was suing an empty cardborard 30 egg egg tray at home but on the trip overseas, I left the egg tray at home. I bought a metal rack that goes in the sink and that helped keep the laptop off my legs but I got worried the laptop would overheat. So I went online and read many reviews. For the price, this fit the bill. I use it at home now instead of the egg trays. Keeps the laptop nice and cool. It isnt good for on your lap as this fan needs to sit on a flat surface. If you get a thin piece of wood the size of the laptop and then about 6 inches longer, you can use this on the wood on your lap.
Great item. Quiet too. No need to purchase super expensive ones. However, if you have a laptop that isnt just running hot but overheats, then dont buy this. Take your laptop to a technician and get it repaired before you burn it out and lose everything.

VERY COOL FOR MY LAPTOP

Wasn't able to use my laptop due to overheating...it would get so hot I couldn't even rest my hand on it while gaming. opened it up..fan works...not clogged...Tried the under laptop fans...little to no success. Thank goodness I just happened to see this on Amazon! it is a perfect fit for my acer aspire laptop...easy to install. fan can be a tiny bit noisy on max but MAN does it do the job! i can actually feel the cool air being pulled into my laptop and the warmer air getting expelled. so far i have had no heat warnings while gaming and my hand no longer gets 'burnt' A++!

Alright I don't usually comment on my purchases but this buy was such a game changer it would be a shame not to.

I'm a poor college student who happens to own a Lenovo Y500 gaming laptop which has a side vent. However, I also don't live in the nicest place which means I don't have the luxury of air conditioning. That sucks for me but really sucks for my electronics, which can heat up to burning temperatures on hot days. My left hand literally cannot touch the QWER keys (which is pretty important for certain games) or else I risk burning my hand.
