Pretty good laptop. An i3 with intel hd 5500 for this price is a good bargain considering it has the 2 in 1 tablet feature as well. The build quality is a little disappointing compared to other similar price range laptops. The touch pad is slightly shifted to the left and the hinge is slightly tilted. Other than that the laptop is overall worth its price and the flaws mentioned above may be issues with mine only.

Its been about 4~5 months since I bought this thing and I have to say its getting more disappointing every day... It may be due to the way I treat it as I put it in a messenger bag and carry it all over the place but the machine seems to be pretty fragile. I normally don't turn this thing off and leave it charging all the time when I'm not carrying it and the battery already has issues. It won't charge anymore unless it hits 0% and turns off, then it'll charge back to 100%. Battery isn't removable so that's annoying. hinges still work fine and the touch screen is still okay but I sometimes hear crazy weird sounds coming from the inside as if the fan came loose and started shredding everything (not that it did) and the whole computer vibrates like crazy. I'm gonna go and get this fixed to see what the problem is. I did treat it pretty harshly but so many problems and it hasn't even been half a year. I would pay a little more and buy one that is a little more trustworthy.

Got it today and have been testing from past 8 hours!

The touch-pad on this HP pavilion is absolutely wonderful. 2 finger right clicks, 2 finger scrolling, and clicking the touch-pad feels great (unlike many other laptops I tested), actually better than a Mac-book I might add. I also really wanted a keyboard that could keep up with my typing speed and this one is perfect. Typing is a joy honestly because the keys are awesome. Finally, I was tired of having a 1.5-3 hour battery life laptop that basically kept me attached to the charger when doing anything important. The battery life on this laptop has lasted me anywhere from 4-7 hours depending on what I'm doing and that is great for me.

I went to Best Buy and tested out many laptops that I thought might fit my preferred choice and none of them were even close. The exact one I went to look for was a Toshiba that had tons of issues when I went to test it, the keyboard wasn't very good, the trackpad sucked, and it was over $500. Then, randomly, I found the AMD processor HP pavilion 13.3 x360 at Officemax and fell in love with it. I really wanted the 5th gen I3 processor instead of the AMD processor though so I came back to Amazon to purchase it at a great price.

I didn't even care about this computer being a touchscreen or being able to flip into a tablet really, but those are great features as well that are over and above what I was even looking for. HP really outdid themselves with the laptop portion and the tablet portion of this 2 in 1. And I got it all for a great price at $415. I couldn't be happier with this laptop and I would recommend to anyone looking for a laptop with relatively average standards to pick this one and you'll fall in love. The ram is upgradeable if that is a big deal to you as well, although 4GB seems to be enough for me. I believe there is a 6GB version as well that might be enough for someone who uses it more rigorously.

I wrote an earlier review which didn't post, so i'm rewriting this one to include new information. The touchpad does not always work, and the charm bar and time will mysteriously appear.

The biggest problem is the lack of palm rejection/wrist protection when in tablet mode. My husband a computer and software engineer, looked all over to find out how to calibrate this. It did not exist. I then contacted HP customer service and they said it should have automatic palm projection.. I am now faced with either returning this to the vendor or sending it to HP and be without it 7-10 days to see IF they can fix it.

It is heavier than I expected also, but overall I'm not happy with it.

This is definitely a good laptop, but there are a few downsides. I'll put the nice things down first, though.

The screen is pretty good. When I first got it, the screen seemed a little "stripey" though it doesn't look like that now. The touch screen is mostly responsive - I haven't had very many issues with it at all.

The 2-in-1 function is very nice. The hinge seems very nice and tight, and the keyboard is also pretty great. It took me a little getting used to because it feels a lot different than my Chromebook, but it's still very nice.

The mousepad, on the other hand, is both good and bad. The actual component is great, but the software for it isn't all that great. As far as I'm aware, there isn't a palmcheck feature. At least, not an easily accessed one.

To the hardware, now - the processor is excellent. It's pretty darn snappy. It hasn't really lagged at all, and I can multitask pretty well.

On to the bad. The display has this sort of adaptiveness that I can't seem to turn off. If I turn to a dark webpage and then to a bright one, the screen is dimmed at first and appears to need to warm up, whereas on other devices (even a $300 Chromebook) it'd be the correct brightness as soon as I turned to the different webpage. It's not all that bad, it's just slightly annoying.

Another problem I've found with it is that the headphone jack is slightly larger than normal. Usually, this isn't much of a problem. If your headphone jack is slightly smaller than 3.5mm (not talking about 2.5, I mean a small 3.5mm jack), then it'll disconnect while plugged in. After fiddling with it a little, it'll reconnect. Highly annoying, although it only happens with my V-moda M80's - unless you have those, you're probably fine.

Overall, this is a very nice laptop with a few inconveniences. I think I'll get used to it, and for the price it's definitely worth it.
