A Keypad Designed For Spreadsheets

Finally, a keypad with a TAB key! If you are looking for a good quality keypad that truly allows you to enter data with one hand, I highly recommend this product. The keys are over-sized, which makes it easy for folks with big fingers to operate. The keys have a nice, springy action to them that give good tactile feedback. In fact, it feels more like the keyboard of a high quality desk calculator than your run-of-the-mill keypad. I would have given it five stars, but one of the rubber feet is missing from the bottom. This does not affect the performance of the keypad at all.
I bought this keypad because I was specifically looking for one with a TAB key. As the manager of a bowling association, one of my tasks is to enter scores for bowlers from award sheets into the bowling program. They computer provided by the association does not have a numeric keypad, but I happened to have one from another computer. It was better than nothing, but when entering the scores, I would have to hit the TAB key on the main keyboard. This slowed me down considerably. This new keypad now allows me to enter the scores one-handed and has definitely sped up the entering of the scores. If you have to do a lot of numerical entry, you can't go wrong with this keypad -- even if your existing keyboard has one built in.

Just what I needed.

After reading a lot of other reviews, I realized how necessary a TAB key is for a numeric keypad.
Glad I found this one.
It types well (tested it for a few days). Very easy to use: just plug into USB port on your computer & you're good to go. I'm very used to the home/office business calculator (the one that prints on a roll of thin receipt paper as you calculate) so I also like the double-0 key & the feel of it when I type: very similar to the financial calculator I always use at work & at home. It's also heavy enough to stay put when I use it (with little rubber stickers on the bottom's corners) but definitely light so that it doesn't make a difference in my bag weight as I carry it around.

Although it was tempting to go for the $3-5 numeric keypads that are offered elsewhere, this was for sure money well spent. For several more bucks, I am using something that has a high-quality feeling to it & that feels very much like the good calculators I always use. Love this keypad!!! If you type lots of numbers like I do, GET IT!!!!!

periixx number key board good

I bought the perixx number key board for the convieance of placing the key board in more covenant locations (left). Out of the box looks great, not too bulky, has all four rubber dubers on the bottem. USB cord is 30 in. Works on windows 7. Keys are normal sized, not mini. Key strikes are quiet and springy. Tab and enter on the board are great but the best is double zero. I can't find anything bad to say about this product. I've put off buying one for years, thinking I wouldn't use it enough to be worth the trouble, now I think I will use it more than I originally planned.

Size! Tab key! Versatile! Inexpensive! (Update)

I just started a job from home where I do a lot of data input, primarily working with Excel spreadsheets. The work necessitated the use of a Company laptop which does not have a built in numeric keypad. After struggling with this for about 3 weeks, I decided to check out Amazon and see what I could find. I didn't see the need for a wireless pad with my setup so I read the reviews on this one and liked what I read.

So far, the positive reviews were spot on. I love the size of the keys which was one of the reasons I bought this and should be included in the description, in my opinion, since it is a big plus for a man with old, big fingers like mine. Also, I love the "tab" key and the ability to scroll up and down, delete, insert, etc. I have just started using it, but if it holds up, it will be perfect for my use. I will plan to follow up on long term use, but for the money, if it lasts a year, it will be worth it to me.

*Update from this earlier review. What a great company! I developed a very minor issue with this pad, where the "1" wouldn't always work. It was sticking a bit, evidently. I went to the Company website who manufactures the product and contacted them via email to see if there might be a suggestion how to alleviate the issue. They asked me to fill out a simple form and email it back to them in Germany. The next day, they emailed me they were sending out a new unit!! This was totally unexpected, and I will always buy their products, when available. I have used this for a while now, and really love the way it performs, the versatility and did I mention CHEAP?? It has sure made my work easier, too, since my company laptop doesn't have a number pad built in, and I did not want to mess with an entirely different keyboard. KUDOS!
