This power adapter is a perfect fit for our ASUS Eee PC. It seems to fit a tiny bit loosely, but perhaps that's really the wear and tear on the computer end preventing a snug connection. Regardless, it powers and charges the netbook without any issues.

I bought tis as a replacement for the power brick on my netbook that wore through at the connector end and shorted out. I try to keep at least one spare around anyway. My only complaint is that it has a three prong plug and heavier power cord than some of the others. Not a big deal, but it's for a fairly small netbook. I'm leaving it on my desk at work, so it doesn't matter much.

Over the past 3.5 years, I've had 2 power bricks fail, so it is well worth it to spend the money to have at least one spare around.

I checked this out electrically & it's fine. I give it 4 stars because it was shorter than my original & 1st replacement at about 9 ft. long. It was a bargain & I keep it as a spare. My original Asus adapter charger wasn't working & I got a knockoff Gmax replacement from Amazon. That worked fine for about 6 months until the charging light on the laptop blinked or failed to stay lit. I then saw the source of the problem. The laptop power socket had a 0.7 mm (.027") diameter brass, somewhat rigid wire post in its center, that is supposed to make the connection to the center of the adapter hollow male plug. That wire post had broken off at its base & the original Asus adapter wasn't tight enough in the socket to hold the wire in place. The Gmax adapter snapped in place in the socket more firmly & it had a smaller internal diameter that held the wire stud in place & made good contact. When I noticed the wire stud in the adapter end whenever I unplugged the adapter I thought it belonged there until it stopped working & I went back & looked at the original & pictures of replacements. I then realized I'd have to get a new socket which runs around $70 to have done or DIY it's an arcane process where you have to by in bulk or roll the dice on non-returnable pricey single sockets with disclaimers on how much these vary even in the same model laptop. This required laptop disassembly & maybe desoldering before ordering the correct replacement. I ordered this adapter as insurance. I then tried to get the wire stud out of the Gmax adapter but it had pushed in too far to get enough grip.Read more ›

I ordered a power cord for my tablet that needed replaced quickly. I did receive the shipment in a timely manner however the prong is too long for my tablet. It charges the tablet but has to be adjusted just so for it to work and god forbid you bump it because it stops charging. I contacted the company and they asked if it charged the tablet and when I responded yes but with issues I received no further communication from them - will not order from this company again!!!

For Asus EEE 1015 Users! DONOT BUY IT

Just don't buy it for your asus eee 1015, you will ruin your battery. The socket doesn't fit very well into your device. when you are working with the device will be switched among battery mode/AC mode with each of your move! In other word, you should leave your netbook in order to charge it. If you want to work with your netbook without battery and just by using this charger it is not possible at all! your netbook will be turned off after your first move!
