380467-001 adapter

The company shipped fast but the product was poor quality. It does appear to be an original HP adapter. It has been just over a month and the charger will not work. The metal tip that pugs into the laptop is loose and moves around, you have to hold it in a particular spot for it to even charge. It has continued to get worse. I wouldn't recommend this product. I didn't have a problem with the seller though.

Doesn't connect correctly

The connection with the laptop is not secure and the charger disconnects frequently. It does not work as well as the original. Continued usage may ruin my battery. It looks like I will have to spend the money to get a real one from HP, which is expensive. But this unit does not work as advertised.

Ok, but the wrong item

What came was relatively low (but acceptable) quality, but considering the ridiculously cheap price, I guess I'd say I got more than I paid for. The main problem was that it was the wrong adaptor. Despite checking the numbers repeatedly and blowing the picture up 10x to make sure the adaptor looked like the right one, I got the wrong item...the "barrel" of the part you actually plug into the computer was not even close in appearance or size. The seller then informed me that they stopped selling the model that i asked for...not sure why then they would send a different model...in hopes that it might work? Frustrating. At least they offered to refund it upon return and pay for the return as long as I kept it cheap (e.g., USPS standard). Packing it up and driving to the post office is an inconvenience.

First of all, don't get your hopes up that this seller is actually "hp" as the product claims. This is actually pretty deceitful because the product was shipped from a vendor called laptopmate. It is not an Hewlett Packard Spare as it claims, but rather a spare that works for hp computers. We have had it for a month now and it does seem to work just fine for our hp pavillion dv6000 laptop. More-or-less I was mostly disappointed that it wasn't actually what they claimed - a hp charger. But for the price it is adequate and we intend to purchase another one for use at the office so that the cables will not need to undergo much stress by moving them around a lot.

I purchased this adapter for my HP Pavilion DV2718US Entertainment Notebook and it works perfectly. I can't speak to what it can potentially do to the charge cycle of the battery, as I purchased this as an adapter I can leave at home and travel with my factory charger; due to my battery not holding a charge in the first place. Contrary to the photo, the one I received contains a three-prong plug. I've used it for 4-6 hours each day for over two weeks and have not had any problems. It gets warm but actually equal to or less so than my factory HP charger. The plug fits perfectly and there is no play in the connection or need to force it.
