Great product, great value

This cord works perfect for the Gateway notebook my husband takes with him in his semi-truck. The only thing that could be an issue is the length is shorter than the original, but we don't need the length in the truck. In addition, the original cord was broken from the computer to the adapter, so we can still use the longer length of the cord at home if needed. It's not a big deal considering the cost of this cord was -at least- half the price sold by other venders.

Good product - legit deal - correct replacement

Bought this laptop back in 2008, I have two other PC's but this Gateway is my favorite. Problem was two years ago when the charger blew and they wanted $60 for a replacement. I spent $12 total (shipping and cost) for this charger and it works perfect and fit excellent. The cables are a little shorter than the factory stock, but long enough, about 6'. Highly recommend it for a replacement.

The cord just falls out of the computer for no reason, and if you have it sitting at the wrong angle, you stop getting power. It's NOT worth the money you save. Do yourself a favor and buy a power cord that you don't have to keep checking on to make sure it hasn't disconnected itself. Also, it's a really short cord, so you have to be close to an outlet to use it.

Compatible Laptop Adapter - not totally adaptable

The model number on this adapter matched the one that originally came with my laptop so I assumed I would not have a problem with it. It does work, but in order to keep the computer from squawking at me I have to pull the cord at an angle and wedge it under the laptop so the plug remains in a specific position. It seems that the plug on the cord that fits into the computer is a little bit smaller than it should be. Guess that's what I get for going cheap!
