Worth the small purchase price

The battery arrived with no invoice, which alarmed me. What if it didn't work? There was no way to get a refund. The only enclosure was one page of instructions in fairly good English but printed in very small type (3 pt, maybe). I was directed to charge and discharge the battery fully three or four times to calibrate it and repeat this process every two or three months. After the first two cycles, the battery icon on the computer showed only about 80% charge, but I have just finished the third cycle, and it now shows the full icon. This battery seems to be worth the small purchase price after all.

Expecting Too Much

I might have been expecting too much. I have fully charged and fully drained the battery 3 times. After the charge is complete the battery level shows 100% and approximately 5 hours of use. I am actually getting about 3 hours use. I have a Dell Inspiring 5050 that is used mainly for email, FB, web browsing and spreadsheets. Price was good. Delivery was fast. Probably a little too much packaging.

From the beginning, there were problems. When it got low, it wouldn't charge initially. Then it began taking the charge right before dying. On and off, it would say plugged it but not charging, then plugged in and charging. It's now been a week, and it's back to not charging and now my laptop is back to being completely dead. I am sending this back.

Won't hold a charge

I received my replacement battery right on time. Installation was easy and we followed the recommendation for initial charging (we even read the directions!) The first time it was unplugged from charging, the power had dropped to 54% in about 45 minutes! Do the math; this battery won't even hold up for 2 hours! Not a happy camper!
