Dangerous and Unsafe product - A Fire and Electrocution risk.

I've taken a couple of pictures of this power cable, so you can judge for yourself whether you're really getting any value from the cheap price.
As with many products made cheaply overseas, this cable looks the part, but fails within a few weeks - Zero safety standards are applied in the manufacture. I'm sure the person(s) responsible for selling these cables know full well what the safety issues are, but keep on selling, regardless - Cheap people with no regards for their customers. Amazon should take notice of the many reviews pointing out this unsafe product - Otherwise, what is the point?? Maybe they have a 'wait until somebody dies' policy.....Whatever - Just don't buy this cable.........I normally only give good reviews for good products, but for something this potentially dangerous, I'll make an exception.

Terrible durability. Vinyl worn out and torn in a month under normal use. It can be very dangerous. I don't understand how a power cord of this quality can be manufactured.

EDIT (4/26/12): After the failure of the item on this page, I ordered a power cord from Monoprice. It costed only $1.26 plus small USPS first-class shipping charge, and has been working great till now! If you're looking for an inexpensive laptop power cord, order one from Monoprice.

Do not waste your money and time on this product. I got attracted by the low price and now i regret my choice. The cable worked for about 2sec and i'm really lucky it did not cause any serious problems with my laptop or the laptop charger. There was a spark when I pluged it to the power outlet for the first time, and the cable completely broke.
It was only $0,25 so I don't even want to replace it, but i'm upset becasue i wasted my time and had to order another one from a different place.

The cord failed after one month. The laptop would not charge.
The cord is not worth returning. The price was great, but I guess you get what you pay for. We bought another cord at Radio Shack and solved the problem.

Just a good solid replacement cord for a part of your printer or laptop charger. Does the job for a great price.

Purchased this cord mid June. By mid August the cord had failed. This is the first time I have had a power cord fail. Don't waste your money on a two month solution.

Bought 2 of these. Both have poor fitment on dell power adapter. Easily came loose. Bought Belkin ones which was $1 extra.

Perfect example of why we need to bring our manufacturing jobs back to our country. After dissecting this cord I have found it is made with wires too small to safely power the laptop it is being marketed for. This cable, supposedly rated for 10 amps, is safe for less than 0.5 amps; not really enough to power a laptop without overheating and failing, and possibly creating a fire hazard. I would give the seller a much higher rating because the order was well packed and arrived early, but they screwed that up with their poor selection of product to market. Americans aren't losing jobs. The government is paying big business send them overseas.
