Function AND Fashion in one product!!!

I always look for products that combine function with fashion. In other words I want it to perform well with style. The Runetz case fits the bill on both accounts. I have a MacBook Pro 13" with Retina and Kuzy frost/clear rubberized hard case and it fits PERFECT in the case!!! Not too tight. Not too loose. I originally bought Caselogic PAS-213 13 inch case; however, it was too sloppy for my taste. Plus with space in my backpack at a premium I want my cases as small as possible. I usually keep my power cord separate; however, there is room in the side pocket for power cord, ear buds, mouse (there will be a noticeable bulge). The neoprene case is well constructed and is a little thicker than some neoprene case I have had in the past. The "egg shell" neoprene lined case seems to add a little extra protection than single layer of neoprene in other cases.

This was a one and done product and I highly recommend it!!!

Super Neoprene Sleeve!

After buying the new 12" MacBook with retina display, this was the first neoprene sleeve I could find that was specifically made for that new laptop. Not even the Apple Store had a sleeve to fit their new laptop. I was a bit skeptical upon finding the Runetz on Amazon as the price seemed ridiculously low. Imagine my surprise when it turned out be of better quality than any of the numerous neoprene sleeves I have bought for my other laptops over the years. Moreover, shipping was amazingly fast. I can highly recommend the Runetz for the new MacBook.

I wanted a case that would sufficiently protect my Macbook, could also hold other items, and wasn't overly expensive. This case meets all of those wants.

The case fits the 13" Macbook Air well and keeps it sufficiently protected from the elements. I use the case to go to-and-from work & school and it's held up fine in the rain. Inside there is some padding and the case is somewhat sturdy, but it's not something I would be overly comfortable dropping. Sure, it may protect a little on impact, but this isn't a heavy-duty case that is going to absorb all the impact. It's much more of a case that protects against the elements.

The pocket on the front of the case works great and it is roomy enough to fit my Magic Mouse & the Macbook charger. It's nice not worrying about keeping track of other items on your person when you know they're now just sitting inside a pocket next to your laptop.

As for the price, you get what you pay for. It certainly met my expectations and I'd purchase it again for $15.

Too Loose for 13" MacBook Pro Retina

If you have a 13" MacBook Pro Retina, this sleeve leaves about an extra 1" of room side-to-side, and 1/2" at the top (see photo). That allows the laptop to push away the padded piping on the inside of the zipper, so if it drops on its edge, the only thing between your laptop and the ground is the zipper itself. Not good. I can see if it were a snugger fit (larger laptop? snap-on case?), the protective piping might help, but as is, they don't.

In addition, this sleeve (in black anyway) arrived with a really strong rubber smell. I'm going to leave it out in my garage and see if it'll air out. Otherwise, it goes to Goodwill. I was going to return it, but postage would've cost me $9 and I only paid $15 for the sleeve, so it wasn't worth it.

The 13" MBP Retina is 12 3/8" x 8 5/8" x about 1/2". The stated interior dimensions of this case are 13" x 9.4" x 0.8" - so I should've known better. That said, I haven't found a decent replacement with a snug fit. I think I'm just going to sew one for myself.

Otherwise, this is a nice simple sleeve - the extra pocket is big enough for the power brick and a few other small things.

I got this for my new 12" macbook and it is PERFECT. I had originally purchased the iCozzier™ 11.6 - 12.5 Inch Diamond Foam Splash Sleeve, which was just too loose and ultimately felt a bit cheap. So when this arrived, I was thrilled. Perfect Snug Fit, pockets are great, and feels like good quality materials. Highly recommend, particularly for those of you who just got the new 12" macbook and are looking for a sleeve with the right fit.
