    Perfect for my HP Envy 17, files, notary seal, business cards, etc.

    I will base my review by writing the PROS and CONS:

    PROS:
    -Even though it says for up to 15.6" laptops, the reality is that it fits my HP Envy 17(which is a 17.3" laptop) perfectly (thanks god).
    -Like the product description says, 3 gussets: 1 for files, 1 for laptop and it's accessories, and 1 for "other stuffs".
    -The laptop compartment is in between the other two compartment, which offer maximum protection. The laptop it also secured by a little velcro belt and separated from the 3 big accessories pockets, this is the best solution. This is a top loading style (not airport friendly, but in my opinion this offer a better protection for the laptop), all 3 main compartment opens all the way down for easier handling.
    -The file compartment comes with a division and is very convenient.
    -The other compartment has 2 zippered pocket for more accesories.
    -There are another small flat compartment in the back side which also let you attach the bag to those roller handle (luggage?).
    -In the front side, there are 2 zippered compartment for: pens, business cards, cellphone?, etc.
    -The material seems to be very strong AND it is very light (two things that made me decide for this kind of laptop bag instead of those "leatherette" laptop bags.

    CONS:
    -Not really a con, but it has so many compartments that it can gets heavier without notice.
    -Of course I would like a lower price, 5 stars anyway.

    Just make sure that if you plan to use a 17" laptop its not one of those thick/heavy laptop.

    Purchased this bag for business travel. Light weight and durable makes this bag easy to travel with. Nice sized pockets and departments to carry a variety of items including a velcro strap to help keep your laptop in place. Excellent strap to slide over your roller bag as you are walking through the airport. Adjustable shoulder strap very nice as well. Fits well under seat in front of you while flying as well. Great for weekly traveling.

    Like a countdown 5-4-3-2-1

    My first impression was very favorable: lots of pockets to store stuff, good quality zippers, etc. Rating = 5
    Then the countdown began - the more I used it, the more problems I found, for example:

    - Some of the outside zippers would work themselves open.
    - A metal SAMSONITE logo sign is attached to the soft outside of the case. With stuff inside, the sides round out and the ends of the inflexible sign stick out and catch on things.
    - The last straw: one end of the handle strap came off. Now a good quality case often has handle straps that go all the way around underneath, securely supporting the weight of the case. Does this one? Not quite. I found that they made this strap as short as possible, sewing the end into a seam near the top. The load from the handle actually bears on a strip of very thin lining material inside. UNBELIEVABLE. It was designed to fail.

    I've had it about a year. The last bag I had cost a third of this one and lasted ten times longer. I'm actually going to cut the handle straps from that bag (they do go all the way to the bottom) and try to rig them up to this one.

    I guess I thought paying a little extra and getting a brand name would guarantee a quality item.

    My final rating = 1 due to failure that rendered it unusable caused by careless design.

    Liked the bag -- until it broke

    I loved the size and design of this bag, but the second time I used it disaster struck while I was in the security line at an airport: the metal clasp connecting the strap to the bag broke and I couldn't fix it. It wasn't like I was lugging around bricks -- I had a laptop, cords, a book, magazine, some pens, a few folders, and not much else. Very disappointed.

    Top quality case!

    I looked hard to find a quality case that protected well and was versatile and well built. I hit a home run with this one. It has ample pockets for chargers and cables. The file pocket can be used to hold books as well. The padding is more than adequate and I have every confidence that my notebook is protected. It is built to last also. I take my personal pc with me when I travel for facebook and Skype and such. I find that with all the pockets and the overall functionality of this case I end up carrying more work documents and related items in this one than I do the one provided by the company just because it accommodates so much more conveniently. The only thing that I would change is that I would have a joining Velcro or snap for the two carry handles. It does get a little old trying to grab them together when your hands are full at the airport. Other than that it's perfect.

    I got this bag to replace a "leather" bag I was given by a former boss. The vinyl on the sides wore out. Anyway, this bag is rather large with plenty of pockets, large and small. It is also well padded, especially the laptop section. Given the material, I don't expect this one to wear out any time soon.

The bag can get heavy and the strap is good but if carried for a long time can feel like its cutting into your shoulder. But having the easy luggage slip makes up for that.
