Bottom line: I like it.

Pros: plenty of room

Con: it is not 100% waterproof. I walked through a tropical storm with it for about 15min and by the time I got to my office the bag was pretty damp inside. Not really water but very moist. All paperwork though was fine and so were laptop and camera.

Con: for some reason I already dropped it twice. The shoulder strap hooks were they attach to the bag one came lose. They are very solid and they didn't break or anything, it was more that while walking, I must have unlatched it and the bag dropped. This happened twice over the course of 5 days when I was excessively using it. I really hope that I was just clumsy and I am not seeing a trend here.

Pro: laptop / camera etc. survived both drops just fine.

Capacity: when shopping for a new bag, I was always wondering the size of these and how much they really hold. Mine is full, but not overpacked, and it holds the following:

laptop (15.7"), camera bag (6x4x2), kindle, notebook (6.5x4.5x0.5), leather binder, magazine, tape measurement, laptop mouse, laptop power adapter, pens, various USB cables, set of small screw drivers.

size wise, I love this bag!

I can't say much about quality yet. I only bought this two weeks ago. It appears pretty sturdy.

Just what I need

This laptop bag meets my needs perfectly. I love that it is TSA approved, which means one portion/zipper of the bag is dedicated just to that, and the laptop holder is adjustable! The smallest front pocket is perfect for my keys, and the following two pockets can hold my headphones, chargers, wallet, etc.

Buckle Easily Comes Loose =(

The very first day I used it, I had my work laptop and my personal laptop (both MacBook Pros) in it and I picked it up by the strap. After a few steps, one end of the strap came completely free of the ring and the whole thing fell to the cement. I quickly inspected my computers to find that my personal laptop, previously in immaculate condition, now has a nice buckled corner and damaged USB port. Aggravating. I continued to use it and forgot a day or so later to be careful with the strap, and the exact same thing happened. This time it was on the carpet, but still... Samsonite, I expected better from you. If you are reading this, I deserve recompense. The design of those strap buckles is ridiculous! If they are slightly twisted when you pick it up, they come right off! Boo!

I read reviews about the straps coming off etc. After receiving the bag, it does not appear to be of high quality construction, so I treat it very carefully when i pick it up and carry it. No problems so far, but I know that I have to be careful when its weighted, as the straps do seem as if they may come lose.

No matter I really like the bag and whish I would have just added ...

This bag holds a LOT! I am a full time student and I use it 4 days a week for school. I can put may HP 15.6 notebook plus the charger, codeless mouse, calculator, pens, pencils, writing tablets and small course books in this case and still have room for some more small things. The bag is well made and protects the contents very well. The strap is the weak part, really just the stitching on the hook ends. I had a near miss when the stitching gave out which caused the bag with my laptop, and everything in it to free fall. I caught it just inches from the pavement. If you get this bag you will have a lot of room and a lot of pockets to organize your things with. You MUST re-stich the strap ends or get a completely different strap, which is what I did. I am using a surplus military rifle sling. This sling was meant to help keep a person alive so it is a 100 times stronger than the one that came with this bag. No matter I really like the bag and whish I would have just added a few stitches to the original strap.

I would never buy this again

At first I loved how you strap the computer in and have extra pockets and slots for pens. Although after using it a few times I realized the strap was pretty annoying. They are pretty unsecure if you grab it when they are twisted. And then not more than 6 months later after minimal use, the strap broke! And then the zipper started acting up! Its fine for sitting next to my bed as a place to put my computer, but nothing else.

Classy bag, but shoulder strap buckle slips easily

Overall, this is a very nice bag in visual appeal, minimal weight, quality of construction and quality of materials. The compartments inside are very well padded and you'll feel very secure in protecting your electronics. Be warned that the bag is pretty thick, even with nothing inside. That's a result of the thick padding. If you need to carry a small umbrella, thin rain jacket or an apple, this thing gets pretty bulky. If you carry any of that kind of stuff then you may want to consider a messenger bag instead of this laptop bag. I'm not bothered by the bulk, but I do wish this bag was a bit more versatile. What does bother me is the buckle for the adjustable strap. The strap won't stay put. It keeps getting longer, even after a few uses. The buckle needs to be designed better so that it doesn't slip. This is an annoyance which I took away a star for. Otherwise, it's a nice laptop bag at a very good price.
