Shoddy construction -- do NOT waste your money!

I bought this charger in June of 2012. In five weeks, it was completely worn out and would not make contact with the laptop without manual pressure holding it in. The product was on the verge of coming apart. This is completely unacceptable. Do NOT buy any "Electric King" products.

Melted as soon as I used it

Seemed like it was going to be okay at first, after charging for about 15 minutes the outer ring of the jack part of the charger melted into my DC jack and stopped working altogether, leaving a goopy mess in my DC jack. It is possible that there was some fault in my DC jack itself however. I was surprised by this since I had ordered the same charger a few months ago that worked for about 6 months before the peg bent and stopped charging.

Though product information claims that there is a 1 year warranty on the product there is no further information on the matter and it is impossible to actually receive said warranty.

However I was able to return the product easily and received a full refund.

I needed another AC adopter for my R480 Samsung laptop. After so many knuckleheads tripping over my cord it just gave out. This new adopter is more than perfect; its incredibly inexpensive! I looked at Samsung's site and found the exact adopter at their retail prices. Some of them went from 29.00 to 89.99. Ridiculous I thought; after going on online and searching AMAZON I couldn't believe it. I tell ya; AMAZON has EVERYTHING. I love it... Great purchase.

Only has two prongs on plug into transformer. Seems very cheap. Actually sparks when you plug it in. Don't think this one will last long at all. But it does charge up my Samsung laptop for now.

Great price for a nice charger !

I bought an Open Box Samsung i5 laptop from the local BB for an outrageously low price. As usual the catch was it did NOT have a box, or battery, OR the A/C adaptor to even plug it in and use it. I bought a BRICK !

When I got home, of course the first thing I did was to hit up Amazon for the missing items. I couldn't find an extended battery that I wanted, but this A/C adaptor was very cheap, and listed my Samsung model as compatible.

I bought it thinking "What the heck, for this price, if it dies in a week or two, I should have a battery to use by then until I can get another adaptor in."

It only took 2 days to arrive, but in a non-descript brown box that was none to comforting. So I plugged it into the laptop and it fit perfectly...and the PC came to life ! An extra plus is the VERY generous cord lengths with this unit.

It is still in use a month later as I write this review, and has NO TROUBLE charging the 6600mAh Extended battery I bought, while I cruise the internet and check E-Mail.

Great little adaptor with no over-heating issues. I have to give this thing 5 Stars so far !

Keep searching for a better cord!

This is a 2-pronged plug, not a 3-prong (no grounding prong), which I did not realize when I bought it. I purchased this cord to replace another replacement cord for my Samsung laptop. It has been less than 2 months and I am already having problems. The cord going into the power box is loose. Often, when I am just sitting still using the laptop, I will suddenly get a message stating that I have less than 10% battery power left, because the power had disconnected and I was not aware that the power was being drawn from the battery. The slightest bump to the power cord will cause it to become disconnected. The connector to the laptop is also not very snug and looks as though it will easily break off if bumped while plugged in. I am very disappointed in this cord.
