Not bad for the price. Cable seems tough and sturdy (like all other cables) and the locking mechanism feels solid though it does feel a bit clunky. However, the one thing that bugs me is the design. The T-Bar that is inserted into the key hole on the laptop is fixed. The two prongs along side retract into the lock body when you press the release button on the lock body. When attaching to the laptop, you depress the release button thereby retracting the adjacent prongs, insert the T-Bar into the key hole, turn the lock body 90 degrees, then release the button to extend the adjacent prongs into the key hole to prevent the T-Bar from being rotated. Though it may seem a little petty, the act of holding down the release button and turning 90 degrees and aligning the adjacent prongs with the key hole is rather cumbersome. Additionally, there seems to be potential of scratching the laptop when releasing the button to extend the prongs when not perfectly aligned with the key hole. Compared to the Kensington combination lock which employs an action that involves simply pressing the button, inserting the T-Bar into the key hole, then releasing, this design seems a bit archaic. If you're looking for something to use occasionally, this works fine. If you plan to use it everyday, like me, I'd look for something else.

It's sturdy, well made and attractive. It sticks out pretty far. It certainly won't go unnoticed, but it has tasteful design with a nice finish and won't uglify a high end laptop.

FYI, you'll need a small flathead screwdriver to set the combination.

All the devices I've attached these locks to connected easily and securely. If I need more of these kinds of locks, this is the one I'll get.

This is the best laptop lock I've ever used! You wouldn't think it's something to get excited about, but there are lots of little features on this gizmo that set it apart from others.

Especially useful to me:
- Cable is hinged where it attaches to lock AND also has a collar that pivots freely around the lock, making it easy to place just about anywhere and to anything without the cable being in the way.
- Changing combo is simple and easy, but virtually no chance of resetting it accidentally.
- Bright red color makes me less likely to lose it!

Spend a few extra bucks for this model instead of the bare-bones version and you won't be sorry!

after reviewing several different types of locks to send my daughter to college with, this lock was simple and not complicated to use. It is lightweight to throw into her backpack and is aware it is to hopefully slow down a would be thief--not necessarily prevent the theft. For now, its worth the investment

I lose keys faster than forget combinations so a combination version is important to me. As with all similar products, regardless of their cost, this product is well priced and does exactly what it is supposed to - deter spontaneous theft [note: no matter how much you spend, no security cable will stop theft if someone is determined and prepared to steal your laptop regardless of how 'thick' the cable is - ask any bicycle owner in any major city!]. The four (4) digit combination lock (so far) works well and reliably. I've read some people had issues with failing tumblers. I use a combination padlock at the loop end for anchor to mitigate this should it happen to me - should the lock's tumbler fail at least I can release the cable from the anchor at the loop end and take my laptop with me, cable and all. In the end, the Sendt is low cost, reasonably sturdy and reliable. Though obvious here's one note of usage caution, when disconnecting the cable from your device, give the tumblers a quick 'random' spin otherwise you're exposing the combination to curious passers-by when left disconnected and unattended.

This would be the perfect laptop lock, except for MacBook Pro laptops with Retina display. These laptops do not have laptop lock. I only realized this after I ordered it. It is a very nice lock however.

So, the instructions are BACKWARDS. Like, part of the instructions say to twist something clockwise. Ergo, you should twist it COUNTER-CLOCKWISE!

Other than that, I like this product. The color is cute (and matches my laptop) and the lock seems to work well.

It ties your Kensington compatible device to something, preferably big and heavy, to deter would-be thieves. It performs that function admirably. My only complaint is that the numbers are counter-clockwise, and thus counter-intuitive.
