It fits the Asus N550JK pretty well, but there are a couple of drawbacks.

The prints on the keyboard skin do not match, but this is actually unnoticeable when you put it over the keyboard; this leads me to the second drawback: the backlight of the keyboard.

While you still see the backlight around the keys, you don't see the backlight ON the letters themselves.
In a dark environment, you would not see any of the letters. You would have to rely on the screen to see the letters.
I would say that this is unfortunate, but since the characters are not totally aligned with the keyboard (you won't see this by the way, the keys are pretty much opaque, or probably 97% solid at least), I guess it is a compromise that I am willing to make.

I do admit that I wanted this one solely for the looks of black on silver, as the N550JK's keyboard is silver on silver (It's actually not that bad, I just wanted a little contrast). But now I do kind of want to see how the clear one would look like on the keyboard. I won't be buying another just to test that though.

Except for the Q that looks like an O with an added line, it actually looks pretty decent for the price. The feel is nice as well.

In conclusion, if you can live with the characters not being lit, this would be for you. Otherwise, just get the clear one if you prefer lighting on the characters of the keyboard themselves.

My life has meaning now

Didnt think this skin would stay in its place, but with the high friction rubber and snug key fit, its just lays there and doesnt move, like some kind of hungover college student after a hard night of partying. For my laptop, the rubber was a little too big in the bottom, so i took a razor blaze + ruler and trimmed it. Works flawlessly, makes my keyboard usable in low lit environments, and the best part is i can take it off and slap any individual who behaves in a weird fashion, and then reapply it back on the keyboard like nothing happened (please dont go around slapping people with your new keyboard skin, although it is tempting). Clear Isn't So Clear

I like that it fits my keyboard perfectly, however, the letters on the keys don't show through very well. This isn't a big problem for me, because I am a touch typist, but my husband will freak out when he sees it because he is a hunt-and-peck kind of guy, if you know what I mean. Rather than return it, I am just going to order the pink one that has the letters printed on it. Problem solved!

I bought this for the ASUS X550JK. Ordered the solid purple, definitely darker in color in person. It fits the keyboard well. A bit of excess material below the space bar, not really bothersome. I bought this primarily to keep my dogs' hair out of the keyboard and believe it will do just that. So far has stayed in place really well.

Fast shipping, decent fit with some air bubbles, would be wise of color choices though

I would not buy the translucent version in any color again because the printing of the letters on the silicone is far off from where the letters/numbers actually appear on the keys underneath. So your lighted letters/numbers (standard keyboard back-lighting for this make/model) actually show through the silicone so you end up with a visually distracting keyboard. It ends up looking like "double printing" on each key. My particular order had some miss printing on a few keys and the Q is upside down but at least it protects the keyboard until I can find a better solution. Perhaps the opaque colors don't have the same issues?

Overpriced crap

Very underwhelmed by what I received considering all the good reviews. I suppose it does the job of covering the keyboard but I was expecting more than a very thin piece of latex-glove like film with the keys printed on it. I originally wrote that this was a flat piece of skin, but on further examination it is slightly moulded in the shape of the keys. It is so thin it does not feel very durable. It is held in place around the perimeter of the keyboard (not very securely) simply by being slightly tacky on the underside, and by the slight contouring around the keys. The edges easily curl up if you happen to brush your fingers up against it. I doubt it will last more than a few weeks. If you are a gamer, don't even think about buying this. It should cost at most $3-4, not the $8 I paid. I know it only cost a couple of $ but I am probably going to return it because it annoys me so much.
