I think this is a great laptop stand. Good quality, easy (for me, anyway) to assemble and use. It's fully adjustable, which allows you to set the angle to exactly what you need. I have a Lenovo W520 and I set it to the fully "upright" position and the laptop stayed in nicely. The bottom and other surfaces are rubberized and it tends to hold the laptop without slipping. I have it set a bit lower now and it helps line the laptop monitor up with my other monitor for a nice extended desktop. You can even type on the laptop keyboard and it doesn't move (but I would recommend an external keyboard/mouse with this)

I saw another one like this on amazon that was more expensive, but this one seems to do the trick and is decent quality. Another reviewer elsewhere had both and said this one was identical.

I've been spending a fortune at the chiropractor who recommended raising up my laptop so I'm looking straight on at my laptop's screen instead of down at it. This Notebook Riser was just what what the Dr ordered. You can raise and lower the height of the screen to any height required for an average person (I'm 5'4")... The riser is made of hard plastics but the edging is a softer material which grips the computer securely. Has worked great with my 15.6 inch HP laptop. The only caveat is the instructions for assembly are in Korean (Kanji) only. Luckily from the photographs it was fairly easy for me to figure out what goes where. For that reason alone I'd steer English speaking folks to the 3M product which looks virtually identical. One last thing, you'll need an external keyboard and mouse, we went with the Microsoft "Microsoft Wireless Desktop 800 for Business" which worked instantly.

I chose this stand for my MBPr because of a combination of price and features.

Pros: - Easy set up. Took a minute or two deciphering the picture instructions and screwing the parts together.
- Competitive pricing as opposed to other riser options here on Amazon.
- Colors complement the Mac well.
- Customizing feature works great, but I will be using this at the highest setting at all times. I do not think other options allow such a steep angle.
- Seems sturdy enough. I have typed directly on the Mac a bit, and it did not wobble.*

*I absolutely recommend an external keyboard if you are going to assemble the Actto riser to the high angles, as it is not comfortable to type directly on the Mac. This is not a fault of the product, it is just an inevitable issue with most angled risers I encountered.

Con: - Looks a bit cheap in the front, as the black rubber doesn't reach around the silver colored plastic part with the "actto" branding. You can clearly see the plastic sticking out, which is a bit off-putting.

Otherwise, this is a great product, with a nice price tag and great performance. I recommend this for people who do not want to spend double the money on a riser that is not as customizable, and are ok with a little uneven plastic peeking out from the bottom.

Just what I wanted, and expected.. I have a small Antique desk about 100 + years old. It's about 18" deep.. This Unit Elevated my laptop to the perfect eye height, and made enough room for me to put a small wireless keyboard in front of it.. I love this Product... and the company the sold it to me...

I had been looking all over for a good quality laptop riser stand for quite some time after junking a previous one that would fall out of the position I set it at and my laptop was not stable on. Finally, I got desperate due to neck and back aches, pains, and noises from alternating between either sitting slouched back or looking down at my laptop screen. I figured I had better fork out the cash for something good now or I'll end up be forking out a lot more in medical expenses down the road! I was debating on this one or the 3M one, but decided to try this one out due to some bad comments about the 3M one.

I definitely made the right decision. This is a great riser stand. It is light, yet not flimsy. It has a super wide range of adjustability so that you have have your laptop almost vertical if you like your screen that high. It has a nice rubberized base and top (the black parts you see in the picture) to keep your laptop snug without any parts getting in the way so you can remove your laptop quickly out of the stand. It has a metal screw lock with a plastic knob to lock the stand position in the back. There are also nice rubberized feet to stop it from sliding around.

One thing to note is that packaging and instructions are in Japanese, but all you really need to figure out is how to get the stand locked in place. I think a 3 year old could figure that out.

Highly recommended!

This is a great riser for the price. It's adjustable, sturdy, and does not slide on a relatively slippery surface. This is now our standard team issue.

I work from home full time and have a MacBook Pro on the left and an HP Windows laptop on the right separated by a 27" display that I can use to extend the desktop of either machine. I looked at some of the more expensive stand options, made of aluminum or Plexiglass, and found these while searching for something with a better price that would actually stand the laptop up with the keys more vertical.

They are plastic and the silver color is not exactly uniform so you will not confuse this for a higher grade material. The laptops hide most of it anyway so it is not an issue. Easy to adjust and the price was great. Yes you can buy a more expensive stand but I did not see the need for the added expense.
