Over the past few months I have searched for the perfect lap desk for my laptop computer, and I found it in this comfortable and convenient Lap Desk with Light. The battery compartment for the light is recessed into a discreetly hidden side zippered section of the pillow, and the light itself slides into a long pillow compartment behind the pillow when not in use. The wrist pillow on top of the lap desk is comfortable to use. This lap desk fits a laptop computer up to 18". No cupholder, thank goodness. Who wants an unexpected spill anywhere near their laptop anyway?! This truly is the perfect lap desk for your laptop computer. Highly recommended!!!

Comfort Plus on legs and breathes

So I have a Fox Terrier dog that likes my thighs while I opt for a 15.6 laptop on my shins. Previously, I was using a big blanket to cushion my shins from the laptop. This Lap Desk does the trick perfect. It will also serve me well in the summer. My "70 Sharp LCD TV sits 3ft high and my rather large high sitting reclining chair is 13ft from the TV. I am 5'11" tall. It serves me best with the lap desk 'reversed'

The lap desk is very comfortable whether reversed or not. It is not heavy, but cushions perfectly. The laptop does not slide off even when reversed.

The light was buried (thus can be buried) inside the cushion without hindrance to comfort. Frankly, I didn't notice it was there until I started looking for the light. You can use batteries to power the onboard USB port on the lap desk or simply use your laptop's USB ports to power the light. The light is very powerful but non-intrusive if positioned right over your keyboard. Angling the light is a joy as it is sturdy, steady, mobile and lightweight.

Love it! I've tried a few others that didn't meet my needs, this one is just perfect. I work from home and do online classes as well, so it's used a lot...
Great stuff about this: The top is a really pretty wood look & feel (though I think it's actually plastic). The plastic makes my pc no longer overheat, but the wood look is pretty, plus the texture makes the pc not slip around like the many awful other ones that slip & slide, seriously I can tip this almost sideways before the pc starts to move at all. The bottom cushion & wrist pad is thick & comfy. The wrist pad helps lock the pc in place too. The light is awesome! The actual light slips into the bottom cushion when not wanted (you don't even know it's there), but comes in super handy when extra light is needed. It's powered by 4 little batteries that also tuck into the bottom cushion (again, you don't feel or see it). And if you're out of batteries or don't feel like buying any...the light can stick in your pc's usb port! My laptop is pretty big, and I still have room for a mouse or small notepad.
Anyway, I highly recommend. It's simple & classy (not tacky like some). Mine is black with dark "wood" top. I think they also sell in a maroonish color as well.

I am very pleased with this lap desk. The size is perfect for my 17" full size laptop, and numeric pad as well as a wireless mouse (purchased separately). I especially like how the light can be easily removed and tucked into its own little pocket on the back side. It's very comfortable and steady whether directly on my lap, or at a table. I have a desktop as well so I use it more dirctly on my lap. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.
