Nice, but one complaint

One small complaint. The legs don't lock into place. When I move it from one place to another the legs don't remain spread out. They remain extended, but the legs should lock so moving it from one place to another is easy and the legs don't fold inward.

Addendum: Company rep. contacted me via email and offered a 20% refund. I accepted. They also requested I change my rating. I won't do that because it wouldn't be my honest opinion of the product. I was told they are going to re-engineer the product taking into account the problem with the splayed legs folding inward when moving it. I can appreciate the intent. I also appreciate the refund. I think this is a nice desk and I am using it right now. I just think the legs could have been designed better. That's why I give it 4 stars and not 5.

One of my all time favorite buys!

This is the second time I have reviewed this item. I love it! I wish I had bought this a long time ago. For anyone who is ill and in bed a lot it is a must. It is just like the photo if not even prettier. It is sturdy and the only thing I would warn against is the weight of it. I would not buy or recommend this for an elderly person as it is rather on the heavy side. Perfect for your computer and as a nice way to organize anything while recouperating from an illness, those with chronic illness that keeps them bed ridden or just to have for convienience. Lovely for breakfast in bed as well. I do not put any hot bevarage in the spot marked for a cup. I would worry about it tipping. The legs are adjustable for your height and the little extras make it perfect. I use mine almost every night. Love it!

Almost the Perfect Laptop Desk

Before you purchase this, search for this company's other laptop desk (Songmics 100% Bamboo Portable Laptop Desk Table Foldable Breakfast Serving Bed Tray w' Tilting Top Drawer ULLD001) that is almost identical to this, and find my review there. You can tighten the screws all around, and it does make it more stable, but it still tends to wobble a bit until the legs are fully extended. I like the desk overall and am happy I purchased it, but it's not exactly the way they portray it. The legs actually spread a couple inches farther apart, so it is an inch or so shorter than it shows it. You should just know what you're getting. (The other one is also a dollar cheaper!)

Solid and Works

I'd started using my laptop a lot in bed but it wasn't very comfortable and it took forever to move cords around if I needed to get up. This solved that. It's very sturdily constructed and has quite a few awesome features. I keep my cell phone charging cable in the drawer and the ability to elevate the laptop section is invaluable. I was looking at a few other tables that did not have extendable legs and trust me, you want them. I keep the left side a little longer than the right due to the weight of my laptop on that side.

If I have to list some negatives they would be that the legs do not stay spread very well. You can tighten the screws/nuts that they are mounted with but it still gets annoying. The other negative is my fault for having such a large mouse pad. I wish the mouse side was a couple of inches wider, which would allow for a larger mouse pad and a bigger drawer.

Over all a good product and I would buy it again.

Stylish wood and very adjustable.

This is a well-built, neutral bamboo wood piece that will blend easily with any decor.This desk obviously is a bed tray that, redesigned with attractive carved vents and a hinged stand, serves the purpose of an easily-adjustable standing desk.The footprint is large when the legs are extended; they are not adjustable -- either up and splayed out or fully tucked in. The hinged stand is adjustable, whether the legs are extended or not, which multiplies the variety of positions. To hold a device, the stand requires a stay-bar that is stowed in a side drawer and pops into the stand with attached dowels. (The drawer is too small to be useful for much else.) I have used the stand with a 14-inch laptop (it would hold one much larger) and with both my 10-inch and 7-inch tablets. I like that the desk space to the right of the hinged stand has room to hold a tablet or phone propped on its own stand, because I like to use two devices at the same time. I often find myself using with the legs tucked in but with the stand tilted; this position reduces neck strain and I can alternate sitting and standing.This desk is versatile -- both how it is used and how it adapts to its physical surroundings.

The benefit from the standing desk seems to turn on the user assuming a variety of positions throughout the work day. This desk allows the user to make a wide variety of adjustments. And it is not some unsightly metal contraption! If you find yourself bedridden (by choice or by circumstance), it will serve as a sturdy bed tray, but with an optional, angled stand for your book, tablet or laptop after breakfast is served.
