Probably the best laptop tray out there!

With a little force I was able to get the stopper dowels to fit in their holes properly. The tray was easy to adjust to the desired tilt as well as to close when I was done using it. The USB fan cable could be pulled far enough to connect to ports on either side of the laptop and worked as soon as they were plugged in. With the laptop covering them, they were quiet but worked very well.

The cup groove on mine feels a little rough. It can accommodate the diameter of my water bottle, mugs, and tumbler glasses but not my double Old Fashioned glasses or red wine glasses.

The drawer doesn't have the snuggest fit. In fact - and this is really the only thing I feel could have been implemented a little better - it will slide wide open if you lift the unit by its left side though it is design such that the drawer won't fall out completely. Perhaps an optional drawer latch (like for child-proofing) could be used with the current drawer stopper...

Exactly what I was looking for

I did an obsessive amount of research on these types of desks/bed tables. Most other tables at this price point had reviews that mentioned how cheaply they were made, but not this one. The reviews proved accurate, and this has been stable and seems well-made. I think the vent cut-outs are modern and cool, and the non-titling section on the side is great for a notebook or cup of coffee while I work. I also love the extra fan that this one came with for only a dollar or two more than the one without a fan. I keep it plugged into the back of my laptop constantly, and so far so good! It's very quiet and keeps my laptop nice and cool. Very happy with this purchased and have recommended to several people already.

Laptop Desk with Class!!

This is work of art. I absolutely love this Songmics 100% bamboo Portable Laptop Desk with USB Fan. This is an extremely well made product. It has adjustable legs, so that you can adjust the height! It has a drawer that holds your mouse or pen. There is a cup groove to hold your beverage of choice. Part of the top adjust so that you can tilt it for whatever angle best suits you! In addition there are fans built into the table to ensure proper cooling to your laptop. It has beautiful cutouts on the top that allows the air from the fans to get to the bottom of your laptop for great ventilation. I not only use this for my laptop, but also as a dinner tray and lap-desk. I will have to order another one for my husband as he keeps stealing mine. This would make a great gift for the student, for the adult that likes to work off their laptop, for anyone that is bedbound.

Good Price for a Product that will last a long time.

Very sturdy, smoothly sanded no rough edges.Only problem I have this the legs spread out too much, so I have to play around with it, to get it to sit in my large recliner. But Other wise very happy with it. When I sit it up on it's legs on the floor, I know there's not going to be a problem if my heavy cat wants to sleep on it. Plus it can be used in so many ways, writing out your bills, snacking, you could even put it on the floor like we did as kids as a tv tray, and let them use it, althou to write or color on it you'll have to put a thin piece of cardboard down.

I love the tray

I love the tray. The tray gets five stars, but I paid $5 more to get the fans. The fans are simple and cheap and worked exactly one day. So save yourself the five, and just get the basic tray.

Update: I wasn't going to bother contacting the seller about the fan, however the seller contacted me immediately and sent a replacement fan. So far so good. The seller was great and I really appreciated that they jumped on helping me right away. If the fan holds out I will up to five stars and rewrite this review. So far, Tray 5 stars, Seller 5 stars, Fan, I will up from 3 to 4 stars...

Very happy with this

Very happy with this!!! It's slightly taller then I wanted, but nothing that I can't get over. My 15" Lenvo laptop fits perfectly on it. I don't use the drink space, so I can't comment on that. The fan is slightly loud, but again not so bad that I can't look past it.

I had to edit this to add, after seeing mine, I had to order two more for my husband and son. I've had this over a month now and it's still as great as I first thought!!!

Purchased this particular unit after reading the reviews on this and other similar units - this unit had consistently better quality marks than others, so I want for it.

I am very pleased with this unit. It is not fine furniture, but it is well designed, well made, and well packaged. Fulfillment was nearly perfect (even though the unit was extremely well packaged, it did sustain a mar all the way through the box and styrofoam when some shipping function mauled the carton). But the unit survived rock solid and I don't blame Songmics - in fact their excellent packaging probably saved the unit.

I work with a large workstation (heavy weight) HP laptop from a recliner for hours at a time. I was beginning to have problems with one knee from the weight and the heat. I had measured and guesstimated that this unit would fit with desk legs outside my body but inside the arms of my recliner. It works. I wish I could settle it just two inches lower, but it works. The computer heat and weight are off of my knees and I can work with it slightly elevated relative to my hands and wrists for hours (at least for now - I may have to shorten legs at some point).

I would buy this unit again for its versatile functionality and its relative quality.
