Okay fan, doesn't secure laptop properly.

The fan is very good at dissipating heat! I was playing a graphics intensive game on my laptop, Starcraft II. After I stopped playing, I noticed the laptop and the cooler was not hot at all. I was never afraid of the laptop falling off the cooler, an issue other laptop cooling products have. The blue lighting is a nice touch too. The cooler itself is very supportive and stable, I would imagine it will last me a very long time, a great buy.

7/29/2013- I really like this fan but the rubber stoppers that slide onto the stand are flimsy. One of them fell off already, with the other one being really loose. This laptop cooler isn't designed to be portable either, its a bit too big and the rubber pieces pull off quite easily. I would recommend keeping this fan stationary on a desk if you want to buy/use it. Laptop slides around if you aren't careful in positioning the rubber stoppers either.

1/10/2015: I had to leave the fan at home, but it does a better job of cooling my laptop than some other choices. It lacks portability and it doesn't secure a laptop, both make this product subpar.

It keeps my laptop cooler, but the angle it sits up at is too steep and my laptop slides off. I needed to put two stacks of post-it notes under each foot just to keep the front up high enough. Also, it is too small for my 17 inch laptop. It (at most) will hold a 15 inch.

I bought this laptop cooler because it was the cheapest one that would fit my 17-inch laptop. Unfortunately, by "fit," I mean, "allow my laptop a place to rest while leaving a third of it hanging off the edge." When it arrived and I tried it out, I found that the power had been left on, so I assume this is not a brand new item. Within two weeks of receiving it, I saw a piece of plastic inexplicably separated from the product along with a giant crack made when it was kept in my laptop case; as it probably wasn't meant to be stored in such a place, I didn't count against that in my rating, but it should be noted. The price was good, and the cooling is great, and that's what really matters. Also, the lights are cool.

This works as advertised for our 17" laptop. I had to attach velcro strips to the frame & laptop, howerver to hold keep the laptop from slipping down. It would be better if they designed some type of tabs on the bottom to cure this problem. The fans are a little noisey unless there is ambient sound in the room to distract.

Piece of crap lasted less than two months

I bought this cooling pad, base on looks and the metal bar frame. I have 17" gateway laptop that stays hot fan come's on computer slow down. I hook the Syba fan pad up, set my computer on top fit good and will make 2 brackets to hold the fan pad to the laptop so I take it with the computer around the house. The blue lights are cool at night it has on and off switch at the back and 2 USB ports 1 is for the USB cable that comes with it to power up the fans from the computer USB port. My computer been on for 8 hours now. And no stalling when working on the computer runs much better now. This really works I'm very glad I bought this 1. 5 stars for sure. I order another 1 for my other laptop.

I bought this fan last month. So far so gpod. It was a great price. I like that is quiet. The blue light is pretty cool.

My only con is that I wish there was.a strap of some sort that actually attached and held the fan to my laptop. That would be a great help when moving around.
