Although it looks like the real thing it isn't. When you get the bag it doesn't say Swissgear it says Swiss Win.
I bought this for my daughter for use at University. She had a real Swissgear bag for several years and a main zipper finally gave out lugging around her usual 30 lbs of books. Granted, that is a challenge for any backpack but this backpack didn't last 3 weeks before the fabric shredded in multiple places. She was holding it together with safety pins until we got a genuine Swissgear bag. She had noticed that the empty bag would collapse when it was put on the floor due to the nature of the material -- the real thing was stiff enough to hold its shape and stand up. At least the zippers worked for 3 weeks. Don't buy it!!

I would like to apologize in advance for my lengthy review, but I want to make sure I cover some critical points about this backpack that might help some people make an informed decision on whether or not this bag will suit their needs. With that being said, here's my review:

Full Disclosure: I'm very, VERY hard on my backpacks, often stuffing them until they're almost bursting at the seams. My last bag, a Swiss Gear Blue Ibex, managed to last a full five years with me. Kudos to Swiss Gear for their superior build quality. I tend to use my backpacks for double duty; hiking and urban commuting. The problem is, most of the backpacks I bought excelled in one of my criteria, but not the other. I’ve had to resort to using different backpacks for different days of the week, depending on my schedule, which can get confusing (see photo for what's in my bag.) Swiss Gear’s claim of being able to meet my requirements intrigued me. After going over the bag’s specs to make sure that it was indeed larger than my previous bag, I placed my order.

When I placed my order, Amazon said that it would take almost a month to arrive, due the fact that it was coming from Taiwan. I received the Backpack 17 days later, to my great joy. I wasted no time in unpacking my two old backpacks in order to use my new Hybrid bag. Almost immediately, I realized that Swiss gear oversold the hiking/luggage claims of their Backpack just a little. Now, please keep in mind as you read my review that I’m a person who constantly walks around with a mini spice cabinet and rocks in his backpack, so I’m reviewing this from a somewhat extreme point of view. Nonetheless, I will do my best to be as fair as possible in my comments.

Build Quality – “A.

Well, I don't tend to write product reviews, however, I don't see lot's of review on this backpack, so I just write one in order to let other customers know what this pack is like.
Pros:
So far, I like this backpack a lot. It's durable, nice looking, roomy, many handy pockets, great padded shoulder straps + air flow back support. The laptop compartment is big enough to hold up to an 16" or 17" laptop I guessed. It also has one big separate compartment for an ipad or any kind of tablets. The handle is soft and big enough to make you feel comfort while holding the backpack. Zippers are easy to slide, and zippers handles are well made by some type of metal. Last but not least, the backpack is standing quite well by itself.
Cons:
The one thing I don't like about this backpack is the cheap nylon straps which connect the padded shoulder strap to the bottom of the pack as well as the straps that run across the body. They're felt cheap in the look as well as in the touch compared to other backpack that I have. However, I don't think it a big problem though since the backpack is still able to hold up your loads without a problem.
One more thing that I have to mention is that, I knew this backpack is come from China and is made in China. However, when I receive the backpack, there's no sticker or tags that describe the backpack or tell you where it is made.
So, I'm not certainly sure it is Swiss gear genuine or not, but it's definitely a great backpack.

Genuine Swiss Travel Gear, no knock-off. We use this to carry my disabled veteran wife's college books and our "possibles". There are lots of pockets. The zippers are sturdy. Everything about this backpack speaks of the quality and attention to detail for which the Swiss Gear name is famous. I don't know what happened to some of the other reviewers, and I am disappointed for them; but as for us, we are delighted with our backpack and with the seller.

I received my backpack yesterday and I was happy to find that it did not say Swiss Win as another review suggested; It clearly reads Swiss Travel Gear. I haven't had the opportunity to test it out with all of my books for class but it looks nice, durable and has plenty of storage. So far I love it!
