Great Product!

I got this backpack primarily for college. For college this backpack has decent amount of space, along with the laptop and power cord, I am able to fit in two full text books (about 2 inches thick), two of those five-star hybrid notebook/binders, and still has room for all the pens and pencils plus accessories without it being filled to the point it looks like it's going to explode. Basically it has enough space to cover at least 2 classes at a time.

For the laptop compartment it is pretty well padded, and it fits my 15.6 Dell Studio laptop with the big 9 cell battery that sticks out and lifts the laptop another inch from the bottom. It fits pretty snugly so I wouldn't recommend a bigger laptop size for this bag. Because the laptop pocket is slightly elevated from the bottom of the bag, it gives me enough space to put the brick/power cord between the laptop and the bottom to make sure the laptop does not hit the floor. The bag also contains a zippered side pocket for which I use to carry my mouse.

As far as the bag itself goes I have had it for about a month and the material seems tough and sturdy, the back and strap padding feel comfortable, and it looks nice too.

This bag has met all my needs for laptop security and college convenience, I would definitely recommend it for others.

Best Laptop Backpack for it's Price!

Going from a 5+ year old JanSport backpack with only 2 pockets, this is a HUGE upgrade.
I wanted to get something relatively cheap, yet still good enough for me to safely keep my laptop in it while I commute in and out of school. This is exactly what I got when I first tried it. The laptop pocket is padded enough and slightly elevated from the bottom that you shouldn't have to worry about damaging it.

The description didn't note the size, so I'll just say right now that it will definitely fit up to 16" screens. Even though the packaging say it would fit up to 15", it fits my 15.6" snugly.

Almost Perfect, Almost..

I was torn between this and another model by SwissGear, their Sherpa. I am not sure whether I'd have given the Sherpa a 5 star rating, but the few cons on this aren't enough for me to return it.

This is my first laptop backpack and to be honest I was pretty unsure when looking in this price range. If you went purely by reviews then you'd think the quality is sketchy at best, however I am now under the impression that the reviews saying this bag isn't made well are by people who don't take care of their stuff at all. The backpack feels sturdy and the cloth doesn't look nor feel like it will give out any time soon. The padding on the back gives it some form, if the bottom of the bag is put out then the bag CAN stand straight up but if flattened (like when received from shipping) it will want to lay on its back.

There is only one pick up handle and it feels sturdy. The placement, which I hadn't noticed until receiving it, is also in the perfect location as it picks up the bag from its center rather than too much on the front or back. Another thing I did not notice until actual receiving the bag is that the zippers are made with holes so that you can easily put a lock on them. While zippers obviously aren't going to stop any dedicated thieves, they can stop someone from easily opening the bag, taking the contents, and leaving it. They would have to cut the zippers to get around a lock on them.

My only real disappointment was with the laptop's sleeve itself. I expected this and was going to put a sleeve either way, however actually having the bag makes me slightly worried. My laptop is 15"x10"x1" with a 15.6" screen. The corners on the top BARELY fit within the bag with maybe 0.5" space on either side.Read more ›

Great back pack

This is roomy yet slim enough to fit under the airplane seats. Solidly built and has some great features like an iPad pouch strategically located in the center of the pack where the least amount of damage can occur. There is a business card holder, laptop pouch, zipper pocket, key clip and zippered side pocket to protect from anyone with sticky fingers trying to pick pocket you.I would recommend this pack.

Great for more than just computer

Best Laptop Backpack!!!

Great interior design, has a lot of space for different sorts of things. Product pictures do not show what it is like in different layers, so hopefully these pictures will be helpful.
Shoulder strap and air flow design also greatly alleviate the weight, no matter how heavy my bag is, I almost feel no weight.

Swiss IS the BEST BACK Pack - Bar None

Had this back pack for a month or so. Very, very durable and highly recommended. My last back pack was Swiss. I had it, about 8 years, used every day, back and forth to work, it finally gave out. That is exactly why i went back to another Swiss Back Pack product, you simply can't beat the quality with that kind of price. Outstanding. And the first one, only one of the zippers broke, the back back is still in tact. You want the best, buy a swiss product. This particular one, has three top zipper compartments, a front zipper compartment, a place for pens, pencils, etc. A place for a water bottle. And a small mess zipper compartment on the right hand side. Plenty of room for the price. Will fit a 15 or 17" laptop no problem.
