image shows a shoulder strap loop - bag does not have this loop so cannot be carried on shoulder. Laptop slip case is for 15.6" laptops - NOT 17" laptops.

After approx 6 weeks of daily use (to/from office as well as some longer trips) the material is starting to rip near the handles. This bag obviously is not strong enough to handle a full blown 17" notebook (DELL 6600) along with the associated cables etc.

declining quality?

I have had several Targus bags in this series. It seems that each time I buy a new one, the quality is lower than the one before. This last one ripped within a month. I'll be returning it even though I really like the lay out of the pockets. Sadly, I can't even use it anymore after two months because the rip in the top has become large enough for small objects to fall out.....

After one month of use a rip has occurred in ...

After one month of use a rip has occurred in the bottom of the bag along the bottom seam. It appears the wheels are not large enough to prevent the bag from dragging on pavement or rough surfaces. We are returning this item and have bought another higher quality and durable product made by different manufacturer.

Spacious

Bought this for transporting files. Holds lots of files, laptop, cords, and office supplies. One of the zipper pulls is rough on the zipper, but not bad enough to return, so I'll live with it. Telescopic handle is a bit flimsy, but functional. I like the cushy laptop sleeve and use it all the time.

Seemed like as good buy

Seemed like as good buy, and seemed well-made, but it was much too large for the my laptop so...I guess *I* was unclear about which dimensions they were discussion...is as 17" laptop measured on its width, or its diagonal? Really, this thing is larger than a carry-on suitcase.

And I did not a find a separate sleeve inside, maybe they just mean a "leaf" or a divider of some sort. I returned it for a refund, thank you Amazon, I'll try again later after my trip.

My Old Standby

I've had this bag for many many years and findbi always come back to it when I want something thatw will hold "all my stuff" for the office. I've used it as a laptop bag, straight backpack, suitcase, emergency kit, tool bag, hiking bag, and other uses. Pretty versatile if you don't get hung up on the small stuff. It's just a good all around bag with no frills.
