The laptop is solid with expected caveats.

The LCD is great, the keyboard is wonderful (as expected), and the track pad is perfect. I bought for price so I can't complain too much but My next ThinkPad will be either a higher end Edge with an A8 or A10 processor or an Intel based ThinkPad. The issue I have with this laptop is JavaScript performance, and only JavaScript performance. For some reason, JS seems to be impaired. I will load a page like Google Inbox or Amazon, or Slashdot and it will process the page for a significant amount of time to complete the JS. I do not see this problem with any other use of the laptop (office, Netflix, etc). It has 8 gigs of memory so it should not be a problem.

I bought a 256 gig SSD and that seems to have helped a little bit but it is still a noticeable problem.It may be the fact that it comes with Windows 7 64 rather than windows 8 and the current versions of Chrome and Firefox JS engines could be optimized for windows 8+. I look forward to the Windows 10 release to see if there is a noticeable improvement.

For the price, this laptop is worth it. If you can pay one or two hundred more for a laptop then I suggest not going cheap and getting the next level ThinkPad Edge or one of the lower end machines in the other ThinkPad lines.

Really slow loading pages on the web. Not happy at all.

This computer is really slow at loading web pages that have advertisement digital videos attached. Takes forever and I can't scroll down the pages until its loaded without the page locking up. Not happy at all. I went from Windows 8 back to 7 and now wish I would have stuck with 8. Maybe thats not even the problem, not sure.
