Blackhole and UGLY

My first Timbuk2 bag and I am very disappointed. I'm on the fence if I should return it or not.

Pros: very roomy, seems well made and durable.
Cons: looks cheap. The front of the bag looks like cheap pvc. It is ugly. Also, no organization to speak of. Yeah, it fits my MacBook. But the rest of that compartment is going to be a blackhole. If I need my AC adaptor, it won't be easily accessible. Neither will anything else that goes in the main compartment. And forget about the front pouch they talk about made for accessories. It isn't even big enough for an iPhone 6. There isn't even a pen holder.

I'm not sure who they designed this bag for, but someone who is carrying a laptop, power supply, tablet, headphones, pen, paper, and maybe their lunch, was not it.

FANTASTIC Backpack

I bought a Timbuk2 backpack after my old army rucksack fell apart on me after 3 years. This bag seems heavy duty durable, but is also fashionable and very convenient for fast commuting. I ride my bike 10 miles to work/school everyday and it keeps my laptop safe and has enough room for a change of clothes and my books. I also take this bag along with my CamelBak when I go camping. My CamelBak takes care of me during my hikes and my Timbuk2 carries everything I need for my campsite.

-Keeps you cool

Cons
-There are no inner pockets. Aside from the padded compartment for your laptop you have to make due with just one huge pocket on the inside

Great pack

I've used this pack for a couple months now and it has held up great. Use it daily as my commuting pack on my motorcycle. Fits my laptop + school books and notebooks + gym clothes and shoes and also whatever other gadgets and extra clothes I need for a couple days out of the house. Held up very well on my camping trip. The front pocket is large enough to be useful and the inner pocket is huge. There could be a little better organization options inside but this pack is a simple 2 compartment pack that does its job very well.

Great bag!

I got this for cycle-commuting as a construction worker. I fit a rain jacket in a stuff bag, a fleece jacket, and my lunch bag in it with room to spare. The bag is sturdy and well made. I've worn it in the rain a few times and it stays dry.

What a great bag!!

This bag is awesome! The description states that the laptop pocket will fit a 15" laptop, however my 15.6" Dell Inspiron 15 laptop did fit in the pocket (the fit was a little tight but it DID fit nonetheless and it did not affect zipper operation). In addition to my laptop, I was able to fit 2 pairs of jeans, 4 t-shirts, 4 pairs of boxer shorts, and 4 pairs of socks! All of those items were folded square and not rolled up to save space. I am very impressed that this bag was able to hold 4 days worth of clothes! (Assuming I got 2 days worth of wear out of each pair of jeans). That makes this bag great for weekend trips!

For the price I'm very happy with it and I would definitely buy this bag again!

Worth the buy

It's become my daily use backpack for college now, and the waterproof TPU lining helps given the frequency which I'm seeing rain. Do note however that the top of the bag, where the main compartment zips are, are not fully waterproof. That itself is pretty minimal in letting water in unless you're literally walking under the rain without a brolly.

Nice but Cheap Materials

The backpack is very lightweight which is nice, however, the material on the front is already scratching, and I've only used it twice at a trade show. The laptop sleeve works as expected, and should keep my 15" MBP free from scratches and dings. I was just expecting more from a Timbuk2 bag, and I think you would too.

So far it works great! The pack is sleek and comfortable, with ample amount of space inside to store all my personal effects. I've used it in rainy weather, and seems to do a good job keeping all the contents inside the pack safe from the elements. Extra features, such as the detachable sternum straps and bottle opener add a lot of functionality to the bag, and really convinced me that I made the right decision. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase, and would recommend this product.
