  • In case if battery is not charging properly or is not working, please remove the battery and clean the battery connectors by using the toothpicks and then replace the battery. Please discharge all the remaining power and recharge it for continuous 8-12 hours, and then discharge and charge 8-12 hours again. Please repeat this for 2 or 3 cycles so that it can be activated completely. After that insert new battery. Turn on the laptop in SAFE MODE (please press F8 button while it reboots to start windows in safe mode). This will reset the Microsoft signature/memory on the laptop of the old battery. After a successful SAFE MODE boot, simply restart in regular/normal mode .

Works As Well As The OEM Battery At A Lower Cost

I bought this aftermarket 10.8V battery to replace the PA3817U-1BRS battery in a Toshiba Satellite laptop. The original battery was about three years old and refused to take a charge. Since the laptop itself was worth comparatively little at this point, I decided to gamble on this inexpensive battery. I charged it completely and it has worked without any adverse issues since its installation. I didn't do a timed comparison on battery life with the original (as the original wouldn't take any charge to support the comparison) but the new battery seems to last a bit more than three hours depending on what the computer is being used for (normally just email and word processing; occasionally playing DVDs.)

While I was a bit unsure about trying this battery rather than buying a replacement from Toshiba, but the price was right and I have not had any problems since installing this battery.

Not as good as the original battery, but not bad!

Our original battery lasted about a year and a half before I started getting the message in the bottom right corner to change the battery. The computer would just shut off even though the charger was plugged in. So I saw this one was a lot cheaper than getting an official Toshiba battery. It's not as good as the original one. It'll hold a charge for about an hour and a half. But I never take my laptop anywhere anyway. If it starts getting low, I plug it in. So if you want a long lasting battery, you should go with an official Toshiba battery, and pay a lot more for it. If you keep your laptop at home, don't mind the battery being charged for 2-3 hours, and want to save some money, then this one's for you.

I purchased and received this battery the end of July and it was delivered on time. It seemed to work well and all was well. However, it is the last day of September and the battery no longer takes a charge. I expected the battery life to be longer than 2 months. I guess I need to buy a new battery, won't be buying from these guys again. Very disappointing.

Stopped working.
