I really like this little laptop except for a few things. Mine has an i5 processor, 16 gb ram and a 500 gb ssd, and windows 10. I like to upgrade. I use it for school, and want something that a) I can drag all over, b) light, and easy to carry, c) long battery life. One of my favorite things about this computer is the fact that all three usb ports are 3.0.
I never feel like this laptop gets hot and the battery lasts for a crazy long time. Most of the stuff I do doesn't require superb graphics, so I cannot speak to that, but the screen looks bright and everything is sharp. The laptop does have a large bezel around the screen, but I do not mind that, personally. The keys are chicklet style, and type well, I can touch type wit no problems what-so-ever. The overall body is a hard plastic, not sure but it feels very sturdy, it does not bend or move as I haul it everywhere, the hinge design is solid. It is super quiet, when the fan is running I can feel it but never hear it. Worth mentioning, the descriptions for this computer say it is 5 -6 pounds, it isn't, it is just over 3 pounds, it is about an inch thick, but still very lightweight. It feels like a well-build laptop, and I personally like that it is slightly thicker, feels less breakable. T
he only reason it does not have 5 stars is: a) the dvd drive, which is something I really wanted on a small laptop, you guessed it - DEAD, and the touchpad is crap. Scrolling down will sometimes cause you to scroll up - WHAT? It randomly clicks things, changes directions, I have turned off the multi gesture and many of the features, no matter, it is still flaky. If the DVD bay was still functioning and the touchpad was a bit less neurotic it would be SPECTACULAR. It definitely fulfills my needs as a student, and overall I still recommend it, but maybe wait until it hits an average of $600 pricepoint.
