This is my second ac adapter bought from amazon, first one I bought only powered my laptop enough to stay on for some time and then it would randomly shut off. I thought it was the battery at first so I tried it with and without battery and it would still randomly shut off, bought battery from amazon and it was not recognized so I could only stay on ac power until it decided so randomly shut off; updated bios opened up laptop and cleaned fan and still it would shut off. Gave up on laptop considered buying new one then I decided to buy this ac adapter and it turned up and stayed on for as long as I want it to. Original ac adapter was 65 watts first amazon adapter was also same specs, looked at toshiba website for replacement and they offered 120 watts like this one so I got it from here. Hope this helps someone.

Worth the cost, but don't expect it to last

While it worked, it worked well. Only downside was that the cords were a bit shorter than the original AC adapter.

It spontaneously stopped working about 4 months after purchase. The battery emits a clicking noise when plugged into the wall.

In addition, the plastic is completely shoddy. By the time it died, the battery casing was coming loose because the plastic that held the screws in had snapped.

This model is not reliable. Used it on three occasions to charge the laptop. After that charger stopped working. No overheating or anything it just stopped. Matched the product code and power rating to previous charger so it was the right unit. Sent back but could only get a refund. Will have to search and order another one.

Toshiba power adapter for laptop

This is a good unit and supplies the necessary power to keep your laptop battery fully charged and running. The unit is larger than the one that came with the laptop but I use it downstairs so I do not have to lug the original with me up and down the steps.

Product delivered was not the one described, which is very rare. Actually, first time it happens with me, when buying from either amazon store or fulfilled by Amazon.

Ampower, the seller was immediatly in touch with me prompt to resend another one in accordance to what was shown at website. I decided to decline because I don't live in the USA and, therefore, didn't want to run any risk of not getting exactly what I needed. But I must admit should I spend more time within the US I would have easily given seller a second chance. Who wouldn't?

When purchasing laptop adapters refer to manufacturer recommendation regarding voltage, ampere, etc etc etc, otherwise you might end up with your laptop restarting randomly forever.
