This is a great computer and the best part was the price. I was looking for a laptop with a DVD/CD drive. So many of the new laptops don't have a drive. I also like the fact that there is a "light" on the Caps Lock key. I also have an ACER with no Caps Lock light and I am constantly toggling the key on and off.

This laptop loses a star for poor sound quality. But I am able to get around that by attaching speakers when I watch movies, so it's ok. The picture is great. I am still getting used to the new version of windows that's included, which is more like the interface on a personal tablet. I spent the first hour after I received it, removing all of the pre-installed "apps" which were mostly random games, and programs I would never use. I can't imagine why so many random things come pre installed... I then spent the next hour putting on programs that are actually useful, such as Word. The computer itself is good. I've been using it for school for the past few months and I haven't had any issues with it. It's great for the price.

I love Toshiba, and this was just what I was looking for, some of the keys are a bit hard to push, like the (I) and (u) I like the numbers pad but the numbers lock key have to be turned on every time you start up the computer, I'm hoping the (I)(u) KEY IS BECAUSE IT'S NEW. and I won't have to return it, but it comes with CD/DVD/ RW, webcam, and for the price a lot of memory, the DVD player plays a very good picture, set up was a breeze. battery life is about 4hrs, very light and handy to carry around, wireless modem, it has 3 USB ports , if you are not use to windows 8 you can use widows 7 and set it to turn on as such, I also purchase the warranty so I'm ready for anything, all in all nice computer for the money

For the money a great power station for all around basic use

My power station at work - replaces an XP desktop. Used for almost a year with heavy multitask. Zero issues with performance. One star off because every time I play music I have to go in the interface for the speaker settings and reset it to get decent sound quality. A minor pain in the neck.

Wish list is they put more of the ports in the back so it's not such a mass of wires out the sides. Would require a major redesign of the hinge on the lid.

For the money a great power station for all around basic use.
