Great value of choice for home use

This is the computer for home use that I need. It's not the best computer, but for less than $400.00 it gets the job done. Touch screen, especially when using the Windows 8 metro apps, makes it a lot easier to use. The processor and RAM are enough for daily use. As a bonus, the battery life is decent, lasting around 5 hours for me, and the laptop barely gets warm.

Amazing laptop for the price

Nightmare

I bought this from another supplier. I sincerely hope the one I got is defective, because it's been a nightmare. First, it had Win 8.1, and with the horrible update from Windows, I couldn't run a single gif or youtube video without getting the blue screen of death. I restored it to before the update, but it still crashed repeatedly. I then restored it to factory settings. It's still slow as molasses. It crashes on me, or freezes up so that I have to reboot 5+ times in about 10 hours, and it's still not working properly. It's so bad that rather than exchanging it for the same model, I'm opting to get a better desktop; I'm a student and can't afford to be late on assignments because of a bad piece of tec
This is loaded with bloatware and McAfee, and I don't know what they did, but it's impossible to get rid of, even with the usual uninstall through my control panel. I get non-stop alerts in the middle of my screen telling me that I need to reinstall McAfee because my computer is "unsafe," in spite of the fact that the Windows has a firewall and security. My husband has an IT degree, and even he can't make this thing work.

Incredibly useful if you need a doorstop or a paperweight.

Perfect for the price, highly recommended!!!

This laptop is perfect for me! I got this only 2 days after I placed the order. The speed is fast and there is no noise even the RAM is running at 75%.
