If you are a Toshiba fan you won't be disappointed

I've had various Toshiba laptops, with my old standby favorite being the Toshiba Satellite L505d-S5983 15.6" laptop which I've had for years with absolutely no problems. I play certain PC games like the Sims 3 and Spades and I purchased this as I wanted to update for the upcoming Sims 4 and I wanted a bigger screen for using on Polyvore website. I love this looks of this laptop and it is easy to use as you just open up and go.

Though on the down side which is why I left only 4 stars is that the backlight on my screen went out within a week and I ended up taking it back to the store to exchange. My current one has had no problems, I think I just got one the first time that had been dropped or something previously.

Overall, I would never use another laptop but, Toshiba as they are so dependable and last for so long. I just wish I could get rid
of Microsoft 8 which I dislike quite a bit. I highly recommend this laptop model for a nice computer for a few games and using to surf web and create items online.

Keyboard is painful

Love Toshiba. Good quality computers, but they missed the mark on the keyboard on this one. It is the most annoying keyboard I've ever used. The keys are spaced too far from each other. Plus you have to push at the right angle or else the backspace key gets a lot of use. Get one with a keyboard that has its keys without the spaces between them.

This is my second Toshiba laptop and I like it for the bigger screen. I am not happy with the spacing out of the keys on the keyboard. It makes it a bit more tedious for smaller hands. I don't care for the touchpad either. The one on my first Toshiba was much better as it didn't feel like it was going to break if I pushed it too hard. There is no spacer anywhere on the top to lift it from the bottom when the lid has been closed. You must use fingernails to get it open. I miss that latch. Overall, I am not happy with Windows 8.1 either but you can't get a new computer without that on it now. I like Toshiba and this one will do. It is okay for the money. Next time I will invest a little more money and get a better unit.

We are very pleased with the quality and performance of the Toshiba L75 17.3" Laptop. It arrived quickly, was well packaged, and had an easy setup. I am all its not a computer whiz, and still have not fully utilized its capabilities. I do not care for the Windows 8 which is installed as the software. I prefer to have access to the Windows 7 Works, with its Taskbar capabilities. This is not a fault of the computer itself; I have read several reviews which agree. One last comment, the large screen is a strong plus, and is easily read without eyestrain.

Warning! Do not buy this product! After having this computer for 2 days the mouse froze. After about 10-15 restarts the mouse was still froze. After reading about this product other people had similar problems so I had to send it back for a refund. I wish I would have read a review prior to purchase. Amazon should stop selling this product.

Understand what you're getting.

I bought two of these . First was DOA. Store didn't want to take it back, but to send to Toshiba for repair. Bad PR. They finally did and I bought another. System board died after two months. Warranty replaced it after sending to Toshiba, but I was without computer for two weeks. Soldiering on, I transferred all important data to it and it appeared to do all expected. Just out of warranty, I shut down Saturday night. Sunday morning it wouldn't start. Turns out the system board was gone - again. Nice features, but not dependable.
