This is a great pc!

Just bought this and I love it. There's a little backlight bleed through but only notice it when everything is pitch black. Love the lighted keyboard. Wasn't sure I'd like the whole 5 position tablet transformation. I do but it's the only reason is not 5 stars. Fingerprints on my screen drive me crazy. There is a screen protector can buy for it though and that's a good idea anytime your fingers are involved. I have it set for best performance so I checked out battery life. I had a HD movie playing and several Google apps running. Battery lasted over 6 hours and that's awesome! On power saver it would easily go over 8 hours. No cd writer. No removable battery. no vga connection. no ethernet. Well welcome to the world of powerful pc laptop\tablets. Didn't think I'd like that either but don't even notice. DON'T let it dissuade you. This is a fun powerful very adaptable pc. If you get it you'll enjoy it!!

The hinges of the flap for this 2-in-1 laptop are loose and I cannot utilize it in many angles that I like. Also it appears pretty slow for having a 5th generation i7! Worse than all, Amazon A to Z guarantee and their staff told me I have up to 30 days to return, but when I tried to do that after 3 weeks, they said I only had 14 days! Major drop and distrust to Amazon for having 2 of their reps telling me same info, but not honoring it!

Reliable performance has made this a nice laptop for us

We've had this laptop for the last three months, and it's turned out to be quite a nice upgrade from our previous Toshiba. There are a few features that I love, one being the backlit keyboard. The other is the touchscreen display. I've wanted to move to Windows 8 (now Windows 10, after the free OS upgrade), but I didn't want to do so until I had a touchscreen. Now that we have it, I find I use this laptop much like I do my Kindle tablet. Half my interactions aren’t with the mouse; it’s through the touch screen.

The downside to this computer is the lack of CD-ROM. I wasn't too concerned about this because it has USB ports, and I can just as easily plug in a thumb drive. If I need to burn a CD, I just do it at our desktop. Still, it would be nice to have, in the event that I need to create a CD, and I'm not near the desktop.

A few times, I've used the laptop as a tablet by folding the screen back and placing it on my lap. This computer has an awkward feel when using it this way. First, I'm used to my smaller tablet, which is way lighter. This laptop is very heavy in comparison. The other thing I don't like is the keyboard is lying on the backside of the screen, which makes me always conscious that it's exposed to where I set it down. I don't want to scratch the keys or the bezel around the keyboard, and it feels strange knowing the keys are being pressed into my legs, if it’s on my lap. I will admit that the screen size in tablet mode is really excellent. When reading a book on the Amazon Cloud Reader online, it displays big, bold, and beautiful!

And this segues into the display. The graphics are really good. I'm very happy with the display in general. Colors are rich and the images are very clear. Fonts have crisp edges.Read more ›
